Job Description:

The Technology Resiliency Management team is responsible for ensuring that CIB demonstrates, and improves, the resiliency of its applications. Our team interacts with our partners in Application Development, Corporate and Global Infrastructure teams. The CIB business relies heavily on having stable and resilient applications to be able to provide clients and governments with a first class service, all the time.


Our team understands regulatory requirements, drives company policy and engages with support teams to ensure that the 1000+ applications design, build, test and, in an incident, execute recovery plans efficiently and effectively.

You will be focused on driving resiliency compliance across CIB through:


  • Providing guidance and support the technical community for current and future technology resiliency policies
  • Developing reports on key metrics on the CIB position and outlook.
  • Driving the improvement and reduce the impact of resiliency testing carried out across CIB.
  • Ensuring identified applications meet external regulatory resiliency testing requirements.
  • Consistently review processes for effectiveness, identifying areas for improvements.
  • Providing communication materials designed for technical audiences.
  • Providing MD level summaries and status reports to a defined schedule.
  • Be comfortable partnering with technologists within GTI, Corporate Technology and within CIB.


We are looking for an ambitious technologist to help drive the resiliency controls agenda. Ideally you will have:

  • Previous technical experience either in an infrastructure, production management or software development role.
  • Experienced in using Excel, ideally developing macros.
  • Be confident in providing management summaries and understand the importance of accuracy.
  • Understand the importance of resiliency and an appreciation of its role in production management
  • An interest in developing your career into team leadership or people management.
  • A working knowledge of current resiliency policies
