Business Analyst Job Responsibilities:
Initiative Management
  • Development of strategies for branch execution of JPMS projects and management initiatives (e.g. DM, Investor Teams, Remediation, Technology Deployment, Connect Rollout, KYC Refresh, Suitability)
  • Ownership, oversight and execution of onboarding new Financial Advisors including day one package delivery, letters and emails to clients, tracking new client onboarding while adhering to protocol.
  • Development and ownership of employee offboarding processes including appropriate distribution of departing Financial Advisor’s book of business.    
Business Development & Planning
  • Understand Asset Management, Wealth Management and JPMS initiatives, priorities and objectives and ensure that those initiatives, priorities and objectives are incorporated into the local business and planning objectives
  • Development of strategies in partnership with Business-aligned functional areas (Client Service Group Management, Onboarding, Middle Office, Finance, Supervisory Management, Compliance) to ensure communication flow and improve efficiencies
  • Assist in the development, understand and support the progress/vision of the Regional Director’s plan for the Branch
  • Identify and report efficiencies/inefficiencies to corresponding leaders in other groups to improve growth and development
Risk and Control
  • Manage the business continuity programs and processes
  • Ownership and oversight of all operations items facilitated in the Branch; maintain Sharepoint site and ensure compliance for audit purposes
  • Understand and stay current on the Asset Management Risk and Control policies and develop procedures with local Supervisory Managers to ensure proper training of front office
  • Provide support at the local level regarding learning @JPMC
  • Partner with Risk and Controls, Supervisory Management, Legal and Compliance partners to assist in solving issues and requests from Advisors/Clients
  • Provide oversight and partner with all functional partners (Client Service, Onboarding, Finance, Supervisory Management, Compliance) to ensure SLA’s and other commitments are met
  • Develop and implement a communications strategy for key initiatives
  • Ensure effective communication of important updates from Business-aligned functional areas to local management and front office
  • Responsible for two-way flow of communication and feedback between local management and Financial Advisors
  • Assist with sales meeting management, agenda-setting, logistics and follow-ups (e.g. Leadership Calls, Telepresence, Town Halls, off-sites, etc.)
Sales Management
  • Liaise with Solutions and Product teams to develop, coordinate Road Shows and Client Events for Private Equity, new fund or strategy launches
  • Financial Advisor Book Analysis, reporting and preparation for book reviews  
  • Approve reversal of check/wire fees
  • Ensure Financial Advisors have access to all systems needed to perform all necessary functions
  • Responsible for onboarding all new employees and ensuring proper registrations processes are completed (including mentoring and tracking progress of non-registered employees through their study and testing program) as well as ensuring proper registration for all current employees
  • Partner with Regional leadership to build and sustain cross-LOB relationships
  • Partner with Regional Director and Client Service Manager as Syndicate Coordinator

  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Financial Services Industry
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Series 7 & 63 licenses strongly preferred - successful completion shall be required shortly after employment begins
