This role provides a great opportunity for a highly motivated individual to gain a broad understanding across the Banking products and become a valued partner to the various Finance Teams, while building partnerships with business leaders as well as Corporate and CIB Central Finance Teams.   

The successful candidate will have strong project management, communication, and teamwork skills which will be critical to developing strong partnerships across multiple functions and regions. 

The successful candidate will work across the banking business for global project management reporting to the Global Project Lead.  Primary responsibilities will be to act as the main point of contact for the Finance and Risk Roadmap; manage components of the banking project book of work to ensure deliverables are met; and drive the understanding, impact, requirements and implementation of policy and standards across banking as part of the continuing firmwide control agenda.

Position Description:

The role will drive co-ordination across regions and have responsibilities related to:

  • Manage project portfolio ensuring deliverables, risks and issues are transparent to Global Banking Controller
  • Coordination and implementation of the annual submission for the Global Banking Resolution and Recovery plan
  • Act as the man point of contact CIB and Corporate project teams building strong partnerships
  • Interact and influence with the wider Finance Team within Banking Product Control, P&A, Business Managers and Financial Control.  This include model review and reengineering current functional boundaries
  • Main point of contract for multiple projects including Recovery & Resolution, GIB Billing Strategy, etc.
  • Represent the interest of the Banking business in all related forums while the policies/standards are in the development phase
  • Works with PC to ensure orderly implementation of new policies and standards (PC Standards, LE Standards, Accountability Standards)
  • Develop in-depth understanding of Banking financial architecture and process flows to support driving optimization – P&L Aggregator, GIB Client Billing, Aqueduct

Candidate Profile

  • Experience working on projects within structured Project Life Cycle, including experience working through entire project life cycle (initiative through implementation)
  • Experience documenting and validating business requirements, functional specifications, system and data flows
  • Understanding of reference data and implications to system development
  • Experience influencing across functions

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with project management  in financial services background
  • Strong accounting / finance background highly preferred
  • Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including experience using PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Word to drive discussions Knowledge of CDGL, Paragon, FDW and Business Objects applications is a great plus
  • Self-starter & learner who actively contributes to team, and thrives in a continuously changing and evolving environment with a focus on efficiency and quality
  • Ability to quickly grasp concepts, learn processes and execute on deliverables in a timely manner
  • Excellent time management skills, being flexible to handle multiple tasks at the same time and prioritize the tasks in the order of importance
  • Attention to detail
