Duties:  Installation, configuration, support and administration of the SAS Enterprise software platform. Responsible for strategic support of the environment for infrastructure, monitoring, capacity, and technical support & administration. Interface with businesses for the projects that will be supported by the SAS platform. Develop strategic plan and prioritize projects for SAS.

Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a 3- or 4- year Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Associate Software Engineer or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years of experience.

Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with: SAS administration and configuration; SAS model and ETL troubleshooting; installation and configuration management of SAS enterprise software suite; troubleshooting and optimization of SAS model and ETL jobs; SAS environment configuration and optimization for performance; LSF job scheduling responsibilities including configuration of dependent jobs and monitoring and alerting of those dependencies; SAS administration experience including monitoring and alerting configuration; Unix shell scripting and Unix file system management and OS level troubleshooting; Enterprise database connectivity configuration and troubleshooting including: Oracle, SQL Server, Hadoop FS clusters; load balancing and SAS Grid cluster management configuration; relational database modeling and performance optimization for SQL; SAS code writing including models and ETL code with proc SQL; Web application configuration and installation with Apache Tomcat; and automation scripting experience.
