As an Executive Director of Cybersecurity, the quest to find new and innovative technological solutions to protect our assets, data and people is what drives you. You’ll lead architecture development as part of our core services group which is focused on the enablement of our Cyber Security as a Service (CSaaS) concept. This is a strategic initiative to transform JPMC cyber services to a developer centric, self-service model. 
In supporting this work, you’ll share your expertise, thought leadership and overall guidance and support, both with your team and across all our business and technology groups. You’ll deploy best practices, implement new approaches, and embrace emerging trends to strengthen our strategic roadmap. Finally, you will lead by example and earn the trust of the internal team, collaborators from around the world working in our global team of technologists and innovators, senior management, and, the people and companies whose assets we manage and protect.

We are seeking a Security Product Architecture Lead to collaborate across the CTC technology organization to develop an overall technical strategy, supported by reference architectures, templates, and patterns across a variety of cybersecurity issues. The successful candidate will be a strong technologist with pragmatic view and creative mind, and a natural collaborator with LOB security architects, engineers, developers and senior management. The Security Architecture Lead is expected to lead through influence, communicate effectively through clarity of thought and demonstrated understanding of business and technical requirements.
Specific tasking will include…
  • Identifying the key drivers for changes to the Cyber service strategy, including business environment/needs, threats, and operational efficiency/usability issues
  • Identifying the services and systems needed to enable the CSaaS concept. 
  • Decomposing core tenets and design principals into functional and non-functional requirements for product design and selection
  • Determining target state controls
  • Defining implementation stages and dependencies
  • Ensuring component and service roadmaps align to documented stages
  • Advocating for the changes (operational, technical, people) that need to occur in order to achieve target state
In addition you will work across the technology group to…
  • Facilitate the adoption of CSaaS patterns within projects
  • Ensure adherence to proper control design using and enhancing the established governance forums
  • Identifying control and usability deficiencies
  • Partner with systems architects and deliver teams to produce reusable patterns.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience and technical depth in one (or more) of the following technology areas: Data Security, Infrastructure Security, Endpoint/Platform Security, Security Analytics, Application Security, Shared Application Frameworks, Automated configuration management, Automated application deployment, or software development platforms
  • Programming experience in one or more languages (e.g., C/C++, Java, Python, Scala, R, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience in building prototypes or full products in Cloud or container based environments
  • Experience with Design Pattern-type approaches to development
  • Experience and thought leadership with infrastructure designs for highly secure, trusted computation environments
  • Strategically oriented and can influence at the group and Firm level as needed
  • Expertise in working in partnership with colleagues throughout the firm, and in leading collaborative teams to achieve common goals
Extra credit for any of the following
  • Interest in and currency with a wide range of research topics in security technology architectures, computer science research, and emerging startups
  • Active professional security certifications (e.g., CISSP or other similar industry qualification)
  • Advanced expertise in Cybersecurity organization practices, operations, risk management processes, principles, architectural requirements, engineering and threats and vulnerabilities, including incident response methodologies, tactics and strategy to protect, detect, respond and recover from attacks
  • Fluency in national and international laws, regulations, policies and ethics related to financial industry Cybersecurity
  • Seasoned command of multiple disciplines, optimizing Cybersecurity products and services through the lifecycle
  • Recognized expertise in Cybersecurity and Agile, creating competitive advantage through the application of leading-edge technologies and methodologies
