Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) is a worldwide organization charged with delivering technology infrastructure - end user, compute, data, transport, instrumentation and facilities - to all lines of business in all regions of the world in JPMorgan Chase.


The Global Change Management team within GTI is responsible for the operation and management of a consistent, structured firmwide change process with a goal of maximizing beneficial technology change within the firm while reducing risk and increasing stability.    It also manages the operation of the change process within GTI, and is involved in the orderly planning and execution of hundreds of thousands of technology changes a year, ranging from simple releases to complex data center activity. 


Your role on this team includes developing software solutions that drive the automation and efficiency strategies for Change Management, including streamlined workflow solutions that interact with other processes and encompass all required change and security controls.  This automation role partners with various teams across GTI and the firm to deliver data-driven, software-defined, straight-through provisioned process workflows which expand and contract at the speed of the business need.  The ideal candidate will work together with partners to develop new and creative solutions to integrate, maintain, upgrade, document and design workflow solutions, especially involving Service Now; Sharepoint; and other firmwide data sources.  Communication is key, both in problem solving with your management team and collaborating with your coworkers, as well as other teams in the network.


As an Infrastructure Developer working in the Global Change Management Team, you will be acting as the enabler of automation specifically within Service Now and Sharepoint.  You will develop integrations outside of these products as well when needed to introduce streamlined solutions that replace intensive manual and administrative activities. 


Key Responsibilities:

•             Develop micro services and abstraction layers to communicate with various systems such as Service Now; CMDB; HR systems; data lakes; and other.

·                 Work with Change Management and technology teams to develop an industrialized Sharepoint suite that supports the interaction between firmwide Change Management and users of the service.

•             Integrate all components to build straight through automated solutions that replace manual activities or provide enhanced intel and process linkages.

•             Interface with software engineering, operations teams, and Change Management teams as well as vendors such as Evolven to identify issues that need to be solved for to support efficiencies and reduction of toil.

•             Instigate and drive the conversations with GTI technology teams to develop appropriate change management workflows that span request; change; problem; knowledge/known-error; and other processes.


·                 Strong development skills with emphasis on Service Now; Sharepoint; and Advanced Excel/Macros.

•             Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, build processes, testing, and operations including Agile development constructs

•             Demonstrable understanding of Service Now capabilities, including administration and configuration especially as related to Service Catalog; workflows between request/change; dashboard report development; etc.

•             Strong IT Infrastructure background in systems or network administration

·                 Complete knowledge of ITIL processes and constructs, especially Change and Release Management

·                 Ability to execute with understanding of best practices and JPMC policies & controls at top of mind

•             Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills

•             Highly organized and experienced in managing multiple tasks under pressure

•             Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, build processes, testing, and operations

•             Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP

·                 Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to articulate and share clear, concise complex technical findings and solution recommendations to management in understandable terms.

•             Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills

•             Focus on customers, ownership, operations and the ability to deliver results

•             Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
