Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced finance manager, based in New Jersey or Dallas, to be the regional lead for the Americas AM Expenses team and to support the Global team of 10 individuals responsible for all aspects of expense control, analysis and reporting for the AM business. This includes everything from ensuring monthly accruals are correct, being involved the annual budget process for expenses, analyzing AM headcount trends, providing guidance on the AM expense policy, and advising the LOB CFO’s on expense related matters. The role will have broad exposure the AM and AWM CFO’s, AM and AWM P&A Leads and line of business CFOs.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the AM CFO, AM P&A Manager, and line of business CFOs to maintain control and oversight of AM expenses.
  • Coordinate the monthly process to ensure accruals are accurate, forecasts are updated, and drivers of any variances are explained.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting control for all parts of the Americas business including providing variance analysis commentary for costs against Budget/Forecast.
  • Supporting the Global Expenses team head during the month-end process, and on numerous ad-hoc queries (including completion of industry surveys and financial analysis for Operating Committee reporting).
  • Partner with the rest of the AM P&A teams on activities such as monthly deliverables to corporate, presentations for the AM Operating Committee, improving the AM activity based costing profitability model, and the firm wide strategic forecasting (F3) project.
  • Regional lead for regulatory reporting on Expenses, covering Consent Orders, External Audit reporting and other various regulatory requirements.
  • Local oversight management responsibility for Americas Expense team of 2, as well as regional leadership oversight for the wider P&A team


  • 7+ years of Finance experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or related area
  • Detail orientated, with the ability to forecast/budget and to understand granular levels of detail around the expenses, drivers and variances.
  • Inquisitive, enthusiastic and diligent, with the ability to challenge peers and take ownership of all expense related matters that impact AM.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to articulate complex issues clearly.
  • Ability to be flexible enough to handle a changing environment with changing priorities.
  • Highly motivated and able to thrive and think clearly under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Team player with ability to be respected as a trusted partner for the Business, Finance, and P&A Teams.
