JPMorgan Global Wealth Management Technology is looking for an experienced Business Analystto join the team building the strategic Global Wealth Management Fee Platform. It is expected that the Business Analyst will work closely with multiple co-located scrum teams, as well as teams located in other offices, to drive understanding of functional requirements, testing success criteria and end user expectations.  This will involve working closely with our partners in the Fee Product Owner organization, Fee Operations and certain Front Office teams to understand requirements and expectations

In addition to the proto-typical business analyst responsibilities the Business Analyst will be asked to play a leadership role in the adoption of agile software delivery methods and tools.

The role will report into the Bangalore Lead for the GWM Fees team.

The Team

The Wealth Management Global Fees Technology Team has teams located in Newark DE, Geneva Switzerland, Bangalore India and Mumbai India.  As a global unit we are delivering on agreenfield development effort to provide the Wealth Management business with a robust, configurable and scalable platform for the calculation of Fees across four key LOBs.  We will deliver in an agile manner, leveraging firm wide strategic technology platforms and infrastructure.  The Product Owner for the Fee Platform along with the senior technology leads are located in Newark.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partnering with the Global Fees Product Owner and business units to understand functional and data requirements for multiple business processes.
  • Drive the adoption of agile practices across multiple teams, coach and mentor to all as needed.
  • Documentation of requirements, ideally with Spec by Example documents when appropriate.
  • Documentation of test cases and success criteria.
  • Close partnership with software engineers on the team to automate as much testing as possible.
  • Partner in analyzing and developing solutions to solve complex business problems with members of the broader team.
  • 5+ years’ experience as a business analyst – track record of, and able to evidence, a history of successful delivery of requirements, testing and ultimately software platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field with a focus on technology or business curriculum.
  • Experience in the adoption / implementation of Agile / Scrum.  History of actively participating in all Scrum ceremonies and familiarity of terms.
  • Experience with Test driven development and continuous integrated development and deployment.
  • Experience with acceptance testing tools like FitNesse or Cucumber
  • Proven track record of working with business partners to gather requirements, understand and document
  • Proven ability to ensure that risks and issues are escalated and addressed in a timely manner.
  • Effective influencing skills and an ability to work with a diverse team of technologists

Preferred Skills:

  • Product knowledge
  • Experience with Asset Management and/or  Investment Banking and knowledge of Investments would be advantageous
  • Scrum Master Certification.
  • Experience in environments that deal with PI data (sensitive) and knowledge on Data Encryption and Data Masking.
  • Must be detail oriented, needs to be able to investigate and solve for the details independently by partnering with relevant technology or business colleagues
  • Experience working closely with AD architects and Design Authorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills / Ability to run meetings and drive agenda
  • Ability to organize/manage multiple priorities and projects coupled with the flexibility to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to write Oracle/Sql queries and able to debug an application, an affinity for technology.
