Escrow Services is a business unit within the Treasury Services division of J.P. Morgan’s Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB). Escrow holds institutional client assets in safekeeping and delivers those assets once certain pre-agreed conditions have been fulfilled. Escrow is used to mitigate risk in institutional transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, bond issuances, and litigation settlements.

About the role:


This position, based in New York will report to the NY Escrow & U.S. Paying Agency Middle Office Regional Manager, and will be responsible for managing a team in New York who manage a large portfolio of Escrow client relationships. The Supervisor will have full accountability for all facets of account administration.

  • Direct manager of a team of Client Managers and Client Intermediaries responsible for Escrow & Paying Agency day to day client services
  • Provide strong customer service by ensuring the team are responding quickly to client requests, offering solutions to client needs, and developing meaningful client relationships
  • Responsible for ensuring the delivery of a seamless end-to-end ownership and understanding of escrow & paying agency account portfolios
  • Understand new deal structures and ensure the team has the appropriate overviews/ training before working new account
  • Understand the operational aspects of all new transactions
  • Managing and escalating the administration and risk aspects of escrow & paying agency account portfolios, including:
    • Receivables management including  write – off management and ensure operating losses are avoided
    • Ensure action is taken in response to all ticklers by designated due dates
    • Overdrafts, write-offs, un-invested cash, operating losses and business risk is avoided
    • Manage multiple projects with minimal supervision
  • Ensuring account activities are in compliance with relevant governing documents and JPMorgan policies and procedures

  • 6-8 year's work experience in financial services, preferably in Escrow
  • Experience managing a team
  • Experience in legal contract negotiation helpful, preferably escrow contracts
  • Demonstrated sales and strong customer service orientation
  • Highly motivated

  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in independent decision making
  • Compliance and regulatory experience helpful
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent PC Skills including Word, Excel
