Job Description:
JPMorgan Chase is seeking a talented candidate to join our Consumer Banking Compliance Practices team within the Consumer Banking Wealth Management Compliance organization. Candidates will be expected to work collaboratively and cooperatively in strong coordination and partnership with compliance colleagues to support effective execution of the firm-wide Compliance Program within Consumer Banking Compliance. Candidates will be expected to interface with Oversight & Control, Line of Business and Legal to provide expertise on regulatory matters and guidance on the application of the Compliance Program’s control framework.
Typical Job Duties:
  • Track and assist line of business management with action plans and issues resolution related to regulatory impacts, including those identified as a result of Compliance Monitoring, Testing, Audits or Exams;
  • Evaluate effectiveness of available metrics and enhance or design new metrics to identify trends and potential areas of concern;
  • Research and analyze targeted areas to assess compliance risks, trends and control gaps and proving insights and data analytics. Communicate findings and proposed recommendations to management;
  • Monitor and analyze regulatory initiatives affecting the business;
  • Track and evaluate regulatory changes and ensure appropriate impact analysis is documented, associated risks are integrated to the compliance program (risk assessment, monitoring & testing, training etc.) and communicate to team;
  • Actively participate in business efforts/projects with regulatory impacts, and integrate regulatory compliance requirements into line of business policies, procedures, controls and training;
  • Assist with coordinating and executing the Consumer Bank Compliance Risk Assessment, including evaluation of inherent risk, controls and residual risk. Evaluate risk attributes while collaborating with compliance colleagues;
  • Effectively deliver timely, accurate, and complete reporting and analytics as needed; and
  • Attend meetings with line of business management and representatives, as appropriate; and from time to time engage in projects as required.


Candidate must have:
  • A bachelor’s degree and/or 5 years banking regulatory compliance expertise
  • 3-5 years of combined compliance, risk and/or audit experience
  • Knowledge of consumer bank related regulations imperative
  • Proven ability to oversee several tasks concurrently in an efficient and effective manner with a track record in creative and successful problem-solving
  • Results oriented/self-motivator, collaborative team player with a strong drive for quality and proven ability to make sound decisions
  • Flexible and adaptable to dynamically changing work processes and environment
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, effective under pressure and willing to take personal responsibility/accountability
  • Proven problem solving skills with ability to rapidly learn an unfamiliar process, structure and scope complex problems, apply analytical tools, and develop analysis
  • Highly analytical, with experience in defining analytical approaches and collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing data from multiple sources to drive conclusions
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint
  • Experience extracting data using Business Intelligence Tools preferred (Tableau etc.)
