Team Summary:
 
The DCC Settlements team is part of the Corporate Investment Bank (CIB) and is responsible for the processing and settlement for Australian assets held in custody on behalf of our clients. The team is responsible to act off client instructions and arrange for the settlement of “On \ Off” market trades and deal directly with the settlement exchanges or registries to settle\register transactions in and out of the JP Morgan Nominees Australia Limited custody.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Actively monitor status of equity and fixed income settlement transactions and identify trade instructions requiring manual intervention. 
  • Prompt escalation of settlement issues. 
  • Failed trade prevention and management. 
  • Investigate and resolve unmatched trades. 
  • Daily reconciliations. 
  • Liaising with counterparties. 
  • Daily checklist and signoff. 
  • Pre-matching of equity trades SD-1. 
  • BCP cross training and support of other DCC markets. 
  • STP management.  

Knowledge/Experience Required:

  • 3-6 months experience in the financial industry
  • Business degree preferred but not mandatory
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications, CHESS and Exigo
  • Accuracy, attention to detail and an understanding of operations control management and problem resolution
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in a fast paced team environment

We anticipate the salary range for this role to be AU$65,000 - AU$80,000.
