Job Description:


The Latin America Oversight & Control Group assumes an oversight and consolidating role for the region, partnering with the LOB control officers, and their regional teams, as well as the Central Control Team, Risk and Compliance to deliver the functional objectives at a Latin America level.
The Latam O&C team is responsible for supporting the operational activities of the regional team, notably: governance and program management; metrics, reporting and analytics; strategy, business management, training and communications; Regulatory relations and exam management.
The role will report to the Head of Oversight and Control for Latin America
Job Responsibilities:
The Latam Program and Initiative Manager principle role is to manage the Programs and Initiatives for which the Latam O&C are responsible for and be the key regional contact for the Global managers whilst ensuring the regional senior management LOB and Corporate function leads are updated in a timely manner. Responsibilities include:
  • Providing adequate management reporting on the overall health of the programs/initiatives and ad-hoc reporting on significant issues and risks;
  • Coordinating the development of appropriate metrics and reporting to ensure adequate visibility and transparency across the regional controls environment;
  • Overseeing the execution of major global control programs regionally;
  • Overseeing regional business management activity, including financial planning and analysis;
  • Supporting the development of the regional Oversight and Control Group strategy, in partnership with the management team;
  • Oversight of Governance and initiatives pertaining to Governance within the region
  • Overseeing the development and implementation of training materials and communication;
  • Fulfilment of Regulatory requirements pertaining to Internal Controls in partnership with Corporate Functions;
  • Partnering with Compliance to manage regulatory relationships in the region and ensure effective exam management; and,
  • Partnership with Corporate Operational Risk team to ensure adherence to Corporate benchmarking requirements
  • Significant professional experience (+/- 5 years) in a regulatory, risk and/or business background with demonstrated career progression; Specialist experience in a control discipline (preferred);
  • Excellent coordination, analytical, quantitative and control skills;
  • Excellent management skills, including ability to matrix manage;
  • Experience in dealing with regulatory authorities;
  • Excellent communication, relationship building and influencing skills;
  • Presence and ability to engage with senior management;
  • Flexibility and ability to partner with other team members across global time zones; and,
  • BA (or equivalent) degree required.
