Global Trade provides its clients with Financing, risk mitigation and processing of cross border import and export activity through a multiple of products and solutions.  Operating in 39 locations across 28 countries we offer Documentary and Standby Letters of Credit, Guarantees, Collections, Supply Chain Finance, Documentation Prep Service  and Loan products.  We have established a distributed operating model with regional hubs, global processing centers and a network of branches. Trade Finance is a credit based product which is highly complex and requires a significant amount of expertise. Whether we are providing a small value rental guarantee or $100mm financing transaction, our focus is on providing a first class service to our clients.


Position Summary

Candidates must perform the most complex, non-standard, and sensitive activities related to the opening and booking of Commercial Letters of Credit and Collections within a deadline driven environment

  • Key responsibilities

    • Understand and handle the various complex processing functions covering Commercial LC advising and confirmation including vetting, input and release within the Trade Systems
    • Adhere to all designated deadlines and controls
    • Focus upon transactions within their current specialist area but have the ability to move to other disciplines as and when required
    • Provide technical guidance and training on complex transactions and to provide operational guidance with regard to the management of the workflow
    • Work with minimum supervision and to act on own initiative to identify tasks to be undertaken
    • Investigate, analyse and resolve complex customer enquiries/requirements to provide required solutions during the product life
    • Assist with reviews of unit processes, recommend/implement improvements as agreed, and participate in other initiatives as and when required
    • Ensure that all Customer Enquiries allocated to them are handled in a timely and accurate manner, exercising sound judgement based upon knowledge and experience, at all times
    • Risk and control focused



    • Knowledge of UCP 600, ISBP, ISP98, URDG, Boycott regulations, and compliance requirements
    • Working knowledge of all Trade Products, roles, responsibilities & processes
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure controlled by deadlines
    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
    • Strong attention to detail utilizing effective organizational skills
    • Team player
    • Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.  
    • Strong ability to follow instructions
    • Ability to make decisions and utilize all available resources and tools to minimize corporate and client risk



    • CDCS & CITF certification
    • Proficient in Microsoft products
