As part of the U.S. Benefits department, the U.S. Benefits Design and Strategy team is responsible for evaluating and implementing changes to various benefit programs (e.g., medical, dental, vision, 401(k), pension, life insurance, LTD), monitoring plan performance, regulations and marketplace trends, and taking an active part in the design and implementation of the firm’s overall wellness initiatives. The Benefits Strategy Manager is a key strategic and analytical role within this team, primarily responsible for researching and implementing strategic benefits initiatives of the team.
Our U.S. Benefits Department is responsible for healthcare and insurance plans and qualified plan offerings, Wellness programs offered to our employees and their covered spouses/domestic partners, onsite Health & Wellness clinics available at 28 major sites around the country, Employee Assistance Program, and related regulatory and internal reporting required to properly oversee these offerings.
Principal Responsibilities include:
Liaise with Health Transformation Alliance (HTA), a large employer coalition, of which JPMorgan Chase is a member. Responsibilities will include participating in HTA working committees and investigating solutions put forward by the HTA to determine whether appropriate and beneficial for JPMC
Investigate ad hoc benefits offerings or enhancements to benefits provisions based on (1) latest market trends and benchmarking information, (2) intelligence gathered from analyzed plan data, or (3) requests from other sources, such as senior management
As part of the analysis and decision-making, the Benefits Strategy Manager will need to perform research (as necessary), engage in cost analysis, determine how success and ROI will be measured and prepare PowerPoint presentations for various audiences, including senior management
Lead implementation of any agreed upon benefit solutions, including partnering with broader internal and external stakeholders, as well as reviewing various participant facing communications
Work with the broader team on developing and implementing innovative ways to engage employees in their overall well-being
