Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) is the technology infrastructure organization for the firm, delivering a wide range of products and services, and partnering with all lines of business to provide high quality service delivery, exceptional project execution and financially disciplined approaches and processes in the most cost effective manner. The objective of GTI is to balance both business alignment and the centralized delivery of core products and services. GTI is designed to address the unique infrastructure needs of specific lines of business and the demand to leverage economies of scale across the firm.
 
Global Services Operations (GSO) is responsible for service support and delivery for JPMorgan Chase's Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI). Through its Global Service Desk and Infrastructure Operations Centers, GSO provides global, coordinated diagnostic and support services, while its Production Assurance and Support functions leverage and execute industry-leading infrastructure management and support processes that are designed to minimize customer outages and impacts.
 
As a Merchant Services Technical Remediation Manager, you will be responsible for managing the technical remediation efforts of Risk and Control related activities within GTI Service Operations to secure the bank’s critical infrastructure and operating environment. 
 
  •  Key Responsibilities:
    • Responsible for running complex technical Risk and Control remediation efforts
    • Liaise with both the Technical and Risk and Controls teams to clearly define requirements, document deliverables, and drive technical remediation efforts
    • Ensure risk management strategies are followed and reviewed within guidelines
    • Responsible for development of requirements documentation and targets accordingly
    • Acts as the communications conduit to executive sponsor; conducts regularly scheduled briefings/status updates
    • Serve as single point of contact for remediation issues / questions / escalations
    • Prepares and/or provides reporting, metrics, scorecards, etc.
    • Role may also include people management responsibilities
    Technical Skills
    Proficient in the following: 
    • Demonstrated knowledge of Network, Compute, and Storage technologies along with a clear understanding of linkages.
    • Project Task Estimation
    • Resource Scheduling
    • Compliance to Risk Management and Cyber Policies
    • Management and escalation of underlying project Risks/Issue/Change
    • Adherence to Standard Project Lifecycle
    • Budget / Financial Management including Business Case completion
     Work Experience
    • 5-10 years’ experience managing technical remediation efforts with a focus risk management and control.
    • Formal project management training and discipline knowledge preferred.
    • Knowledge of technologies, systems, drivers and trends in global investment banking environments backed by a solid understanding of the banking industry fundamentals
    • Knowledge and understanding of banking regulatory, compliance, risk and security aspects
    • Proven experience managing geographically distributed and culturally diverse work-groups
    • Extensive experience at presenting metrics to key stakeholders
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills across functions and teams, up and down the chain of command
    • Listening and gathering customer/user inputs. Simplifying complex topics for non-technical audiences and preparing quick pointed summaries for executives and stakeholders
    • Strong analytic, leadership, and negotiation skills
     Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in technology related area preferred
    • 10+ years of related technology experience with multiple technologies and complex, large scale, cross-functional project management, preferably in the financial services industry.
    • PMP, MSP, SixSigma, or other formal project management discipline preferred
