Team Description
The BBD META Sales coverage team looks after Financial Institutions and Non-Bank Financial Institutions (the latter includes Insurance/Reinsurance Companies , Clearing Houses & Exchanges, Asset Managers, Transfer Agents, Hedge Fund Administrators, Brokers Dealers) based in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Responsibilities include managing existing client relationships, building new business and penetrating new clients with various TS products. The team works closely with the Global Corporate Bank and Investment Bank teams to manage bank-wide client relationships.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Share in the team's responsibility for growing revenue, profitability, prospecting and developing client relationships
  • Play an active role in supporting the market head in managing clients, attending meetings and be responsible for bringing new business opportunities
  • Support new business development initiatives including client training and segment research to identify new business target names for consideration
  • Support TSMs (Treasury Sales Manager)  in analyzing client activity versus expectations, monitor client performance and provide business reporting
  • Support TSMs in the preparation of proposals and presentations for existing clients and prospective customers
  •  Support TSMs in end-to-end service delivery to clients including on-boarding and implementation
  • Act as TSM’s back-up in the relationship management of existing clients
  • Partner with Client Service, Compliance, Credit, Legal, Operations, Product, Risk and other functions including Senior Bankers to optimize product and service delivery to clients
  • Develop the skill set and contact network required to assume responsibility for their own portfolio of clients in the long term
  • In partnership with Compliance and WCOB, coordinate KYC and compliance monitoring and renewals for the North Africa BBD portfolio
  • Liaise with WCOB to identify and escalate KYC requirements for the regional portfolio
  • Work with North Africa TSMs throughout the KYC remediation process and ensure that KYCs are complete in a timely manner
  • A proven track record in a sales environment within a financial services organization
  • Knowledge of cash management, liquidity & trade products
  • Knowledge of credit, risk management, KYC and AML in respect of Financial Institutions
  • Prior relationship management experience
  • Prior experience of working with Financial Institutions in the North Africa region
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite of applications (particularly Power Point and Excel)
  • Intellectual ability and desire to develop client and technical skills to ultimately assume a TSM role
  • Strong interpersonal skills and sales experience (preferably in Financial Services)
  • Organized and disciplined with the ability to handle multiple priorities and to act with own initiative
  • An efficient and confident communicator with strong presentation skills
  • Ambition, drive and a "can-do" attitude with focus on delivery and execution
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Language: English, Arabic , French (a must)
