 Chase Equipment Finance (CEF) is part of JP Morgan Chase's Commercial Bank and focuses on serving the equipment finance needs of mid-size companies and large corporations.  The group finances a wide variety of equipment types using creative structural solutions to achieve client objectives. THE POSITION
 
The Territory Manager is primarily responsible for identifying, structuring, pricing and closing complex finance transactions for existing bank clients and prospects across a 1-3 state territory. This position will report to the Regional Coverage Manager.
 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Works closely with assigned Product Specialists in order to effectively and efficiently meet new volume and revenue objectives for assigned coverage territory.
  • Works together with Client/Relationship Managers from multiple areas of the firm in order to finance equipment of selected clients/prospects in a tax effective, efficient and low cost manner.
  • Facilitate relationship with Bank Credit Managers and Teams within assigned market coverage responsibilities. 
  • Covers territory consisting of 1-3 states.  Must be able to work independently and extensive travel is required.  Location is flexible among several cities in the Southeast but the job must be based in a city that has established JPMorgan bank offices. 
  • Provides in-depth education to Bank Client/Relationship Manager's of CEF's products and processes.
  • Performs portfolio reviews with all assigned Client/Relationship Manager's and in conjunction with their own market knowledge will identify customers/prospects with "high probability" for product sales.
  • Track opportunities through the pipeline stage through closing/booking.
  • Maintain contributory role in Bank Market meetings. Provide timely feedback and business activity results to Market Mangers.
  • Strong knowledge of overall products within the firm allows referral of clients/prospects to other product groups or lines of business when appropriate alternatives are identified. 
 
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience required (in an equipment finance focused role)
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in leasing sales or equipment finance
  • Strong communication, negotiating and credit skills
  • Ability to excel within a team sales approach
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Expert knowledge of lease finance products as well as industry standards and regulations
  • Strategic mindset and ability to drive both strategic and tactical efforts as necessary
  • Firm grasp of PV calculations, financial analysis and lease/finance pricing models
  • Preference will be given to candidates with the requisite leasing or equipment finance background and experience.
