Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) is the technology infrastructure organization for the firm, delivering a wide range of products and services, and partnering with all lines of business to provide high quality service delivery, exceptional project execution and financially disciplined approaches and processes in the most cost effective manner. The objective of GTI is to balance both business alignment and the centralized delivery of core products and services. GTI is designed to address the unique infrastructure needs of specific lines of business and the demand to leverage economies of scale across the firm.
GTI Service Operations (SO) is responsible for service support and delivery for JPMorgan Chase's (JPMC) Global Technology Infrastructure. Through its Global Service Desk and Infrastructure Operations Centres, SO provides global, coordinated diagnostic and support services, while its Production Assurance and Support functions leverage and execute industry leading infrastructure management and support processes that are designed to minimize customer outages and impacts.
The Linux/Unix Engineer is responsible for maintaining and administering all the Linux/Unix servers in a heterogeneous environment of the Merchant Services core infrastructure enterprise wide. Server Administration, hardware implementation, supporting, documentation, and administration of the Merchant Services Core Infrastructure Enterprise wide. The Merchant Services servers are designed to support a highly available Infrastructure with zero downtime for each physically segmented leg of our infrastructure. The Linux/Unix Engineer implements and supports all aspects of the Merchant Services core Infrastructure including support for the front end and backend servers within the network.
•Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science related field with a minimum of 9+ years of systems administration experience
•At least 6+ years of experience with HP-UX/Linux Administration
•Experience in managing HP Domes, HP Blade centre.
•Experience with Storage/Networking/server trouble-shooting
•Automation/Coding skills needed ( Shell scripting, Python, Perl etc.)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
•Experience with HP-UX, Redhat Linux, VMWare
•Experience with OS Security and hardening
•Certifications in HP-UX/Linux
