JPMorgan Alternative Investment Services delivers an extensive solution for hedge fund, private equity, and fund of hedge fund clients seeking independent administration and custody services or to outsource their day-to-day operations.  The Fund Accounting Team has the responsibility for providing a premium quality client service to Hedge Fund Clients, ensuring deadlines are met at all times.
Reporting to the Fund Accounting Vice President/Executive Director, the Hedge Fund Service Fund Accounting Vice President will be responsible for the following:
Position Responsibilities
  • Managing a strong control environment and ensure all procedures are in compliance with JPMorgan and departmental policies
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and provide superior client service
  • Validate that new business is properly on-boarded and relevant documentation is received
  • Ensure team resources are allocated across client base and share resources with other teams depending on client deliverables,  projects and business initiatives
  • Validate all NAV files are reviewed and sign-off in compliance with departmental procedures
  • Work closely with clients to resolve queries and providing superior client service
  • Work closely with various global business units and partner with operational teams to meet client deadlines and identify efficiencies
  • Develop a strong team including mentoring staff and promoting career growth across team and business units
  • Ensure technology available is being fully utilized in the most efficient manner
  • Work with technology to resolve any issues and improve processes
  • Work closely with legal/compliance to ensure all funds are in compliance with the relevant regulatory authorities
  • Provide management reporting and key process indicators to manager as needed

Participate and lead business unit projects, corporate initiatives.  Be viewed as a leader for HFS and JPMorgan

    • Bachelor degree required, degree preference is Finance, Accounting, or Economics
    • Thorough knowledge of the hedge fund environment including accounting for  investor allocations, share classes, and complex investment and securities processing
    • Superior interpersonal skills
    • Excellent client service orientation and proven ability to deal with demanding clients
    • Ability to lead and manage high performing teams
    • Strategic thinker with proven track record
    • 10+ years of Hedge Fund experience or work for Big 4 audit firms
    • 5-7 years management experience
    • Strong knowledge of hedge fund products
    • Strong  analytical skills
    • Strong  communication skills
