Job Description:

Global Services Operations (GSO) is responsible for service support and delivery for JPMorgan Chase's Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI). Through its Global Service Desk and Infrastructure Operations Centers, GSO provides global, coordinated diagnostic and support services, while it’s Production Assurance and Support functions leverage and execute industry-leading infrastructure management and support processes that are designed to minimize customer outages and impacts.

 

As System Reliability WINTEL Systems support technical team member, you will be responsible to provide for administering Windows systems in a heterogeneous environment across diverse technologies including Windows Server 2003, 2008 and 2012 SA level .  candidate must be able to interact and understand other technologies such as SAN \ NAS and Server clustering. The candidate will focus on improving the quality of service to our clients by reducing hand-offs and driving consistency, standardization, and efficiency.  You’ll need the ability to lead projects and work with little or no supervision while promoting synergy between all technology teams. In addition, you will support and maintain the firm's software and hardware requirements and business systems architecture.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Must be able to take ownership of issues and drive through to resolution across a complex, global enterprise environment.
  • Must be able to manage mission critical environments for major global financial services organization.
  • Be able to effectively communicate with diverse technical teams, multiple lines of business at all levels within the organization.
  • Ensure change management policies and procedures are followed
  • Assertively drive improvement through the environment and across the organization.
  • Provide timely resolution to break/fix issues
  • Work well independently and within a group within a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Perform all duties following all JPMC standards regarding engagement, change management, and escalations.
  • Required to escalate to vendors and provide root cause analysis and incident reports. Provide timely resolution to break/fix issues.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have 9 or more years of systems experience, including 6 or more years of systems and implementation engineering experience in complex large-scale IT environments.
  • They must have expertise in mid-range engineering in a Windows Active Directory environment. Technology experience must be current.
  • Windows 2003, Windows 2008, Windows 2012, Active Directory, VMware VI3, VMware VI4, VMware VI5, Citrix, Server Implementation, Enterprise, DMZ, Internet service provider, HP, EMC, Hitachi, Microsoft Cluster Server MSCS, SAN and NAS.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented with excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Administration experience for Microsoft Windows2003/2008/2012, Windows clustering and storage networks
  • Experience with systems monitoring with products like HP SIM/ILO, VMware Virtual Center, Tivoli, Dell iDRAC, etc.
  • Experience working with Windows servers in a DMZ environment.
  • Experience working within systems life cycle processes.
  • 1st hand server-class Hardware build experience. (HP & Dell preferred).
  • Strong familiarity with HP Service Manager.
  • Terminal service client experience is a must.
  • Candidates will also possess strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting language
