Corporate Finance - Firmwide Financial Accounting and Reporting - Cross LOB - General Ledger Reconciliation and Substantiation - Vice President
The Financial Accounting and Reporting team is part of Corporate Finance and provides financial control services across business aligned teams.   There are also several cross business teams including core accounting, regulatory reporting and an internal control team that houses the functions and processes common to all businesses. This model allows the participating businesses to more easily share best practices and better leverage their collective talent, all while ensuring that the business-aligned teams keep their strong connection and relationships with the business managers in the primary locations.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Define the team’s goals and objectives, plan and execute to achieve defined goals and objectives
  • Manage, mentor and guide both direct and matrix team members in achieving business objectives
  • Own data integrity and user experience for General Ledger, Expense Allocation, Revenue Attribution, Reconciliation and Reporting platforms
  • Ensure effective change management and minimize user impact from changes
  • Ensure and review controls to manage the timely identification and resolution of exceptions
  • Work closely with project management and technology teams to prioritize work effort
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to improve the overall control environment and identify efficiency opportunities

  • Strong leadership skills, demonstrated ability to motivate and mange direct and matrix teams
  • Ability to quickly understand a complex matrix of systems across the infrastructure and their interdependencies and relationships
  • Ability to execute against aggressive targets in a fluid environment
  • Anticipate operational and organizational risks and proactively mitigate the risks
  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
Required Experience:
  • 5 - 8 years experience successfully leading medium/large teams in a finance or related function
  • Bachelor’s  or advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, MIS preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a complex, fluid and high stress environment
  • Experienced problem solver with excellent organizational skills
  • Effective at communication, relationship management across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to change team and personal focus swiftly to address changing priorities in a fluid environment
  • High level of proficiency with MS Office Suite, and strong knowledge of SAP, Business Objects, Cognos & Frontier functionality preferred
