CIB – EMEA Rates – Frequent Borrower DCM Desk – Analyst - London
Business context
The Frequent Borrower Debt Capital Markets team advise highly-rated sovereign, supranational and agency (SSA) borrowers on debt issuance opportunities across core currency markets (EUR, USD, GBP), as well as working closely with our EMTN and local markets teams to provide bespoke funding ideas.  The team covers approximately 70 high profile clients across the globe, and is currently comprised of 1 MD, 3 EDs, 1 VP, 2 Associates and an Analyst.
Job Description
  • Advisory/banking role that reports into Macro Rates
  • Support senior originators pitching and executing transactions, including due diligence
  • Managing our control environment by make sure that all transaction related approvals, notifications and documents are completed and filed as per our policy
  • Compiling and analyzing market data and statistics
  • Preparation of presentation materials
  • Work with client billing to track deal related expenses and ensure timely payments are both paid and received
Candidate Requirements 
  • Strong interest in the capital markets, specifically with a focus on the rates market and the public sector
  • Excellent proven organizational skills with an eye for detail
  • Ability to get on with a range of different people, adapting to a given situation and audience
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • High frequency deal volume requires an ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and prioritise workload for multiple professionals
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel (experience with Bloomberg and PitchPro is preferable)
  • European language skills preferable (not essential)
  • FCA registration (can be completed on joining the team)
This role encompasses the performance of regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the relevant regulatory authorities to carry out such activities.
