Job Description:
The Corporate Client Banking & Specialized Industries group focuses on U.S. and Canadian companies typically with revenues of over $500mm which require traditional banking services in addition to investment banking products. The group partners with investment bankers, credit and other product partners to offer customized and complex financing solutions to our clients.
 
The CCBSI Business Management team is responsible for the organization, delivery, and execution of both strategic and tactical initiatives to support the business. The team partners closely with CCBSI senior management and key product and functional partners through various initiatives.
 
The successful Data & Reporting Lead candidate will be responsible for all aspects of CCBSI sales data and reporting, setting and driving the strategic and tactical direction for the overall program, supported by a team of domestic and offshore resources. The individual will transform data delivery to the business from predominately Excel and PowerPoint reporting to business intelligence tools, and drive strong partnership across Commercial Banking. This role offers a high level of visibility into CCBSI and CB business strategy.
 
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Set and drive the strategic and tactical direction for the overall data and reporting program, with an emphasis on providing transparency and insights using data
  • Manage CCBSI Data and Reporting team including both on shore and off shore resources
  • Lead CCBSI Business Management in producing reporting to be leveraged by all levels within the business, as well as senior management in the Commercial Bank and senior partners across the firm
  • Collaborate with and deliver requirements to central development teams, participating throughout the project lifecycle and ensuring timely delivery
  • Represent CCBSI in various Commercial Banking and cross-LOB projects and partner effectively with other teams
  • Prepare presentation materials to be shared with business groups, senior management and other relevant stakeholders
  • Identify areas for continued process improvement and enhance efficiencies by generating innovative ideas and solutions
  • Oversee ongoing training, communication and change management programs with key user groups
  • Coordinate and manage overall project team activities. Monitor progress, including project health, capacity planning, developing and mentoring staff when and if needed, and pursues internal process improvement activity where necessary
  • Resolve conflict through expert collaboration and broad decision-making   
  • Foster an environment where risk/control issues are escalated, and trends are anticipated and identified

  • Technical and analytical skills – Able to create insightful, accurate analysis and reporting. Understand business drivers and ensure that the groups’ analyses are sound. Capable of synthesizing large amounts of data to develop strategic conclusions
  •  Leadership and interpersonal skills – Strong professional presence with the ability to interact and influence colleagues at all levels in the business.  Able to collaborate with peer team members across business and staff areas at all levels, and achieve goals without direct control over all resources.  Proactively seeks guidance, clarification and feedback from others. 
     
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience (business intelligence delivery, analytics and reporting, program management, process improvement, change management)
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience
  • Investment/Commercial banking or management consulting experience preferred
  • Business management, finance and/or project management experience preferred
  • Expertise in Excel and PowerPoint (PitchPro+) required
  • Familiarity with internal JPMC systems (e.g. Client Central, CKC) is a plus
  • SQL, Hadoop, Qlik and/or Tableau experience a plus
  • BA/BS degree
  • Location: Chicago or Dallas
