A critical priority for Wealth Management (WM) is to ensure that high-quality data is available to run our business and meet our clients' needs. The Asset and Wealth Management Chief Data Office (CDO) was established to define AWM's data strategy and support for the core data used across AWM and needed to run our business. The AWM CDO is positioned in the AWM Operations division, within AWM Center reporting to the AWM Chief Operational Officer (COO). We work with the AWM Business & Technology teams as well as the Firmwide CDO team to deliver robust platforms and effective operating models to ensure sound management of our data.


The WM Project Manager and Data Strategy Lead will be part of the Client & Account workstream which is focused on establishing a data strategy for client and account data as well as driving AM wide client & account related programs.  The role will drive the integration and adoption of firmwide data management standards, implementation of strategic data sources, strategic data governance and data operating procedures across Wealth Management - EMEA to deliver quality data to the business. 


Key Responsibilities


  • Act as key EMEA representative the for the WM Party & Account CDO team
  • Participate in various global data forums, initiatives and projects as the WM CDO Party & Account EMEA ‘voice’
  • Act as point of escalation for WM EMEA teams as it relates to Party & Account EMEA data issues and/or questions
  • Drive the implementation of the WM EMEA Roadmap for Party & Account in partnership with Business, Technology and senior management - ensuring alignment to the global roadmap, business priorities, data governance standards as well as EMEA specifics
  • Manage and lead change including platform migrations (Systems of Record) and work with EMEA teams on potential impacts and changes to operating models and processes 
  • Lead and deliver on EMEA specific party and account data projects and programs, effectively managing scope, risks, issues, dependencies and resourcing requirements; laying out project plans, tasks, ownership; tracking and communicating progress  
  • Develop key metrics and reporting that include key messages, issues, risks, control and operational effectiveness
  • Prepare presentations and materials for stakeholder reviews, project team meetings and leadership reviews; Chair EMEA specific forums
  • Manage partnerships with key stakeholders across EMEA including, AWM Lines of Business, Technology and Corporate Functions


  • Experience in Financial Services or Consulting in complex program and Stakeholder management
  • Knowledge and understanding of Asset and Wealth Management data like client information, instruments and transaction information
  • Knowledge and experience in data privacy, operations, and technology functions
  • Experience in developing strategic direction for global data projects and aligning with business objectives
  • Experience in reviewing and assessing operating processes, risk/compliance requirements, operating models/future state environment within an Asset Wealth Management Operations environment
  • A strong grasp of project implementation, platform migration, metrics and reporting within a Wealth Management and/or Data management environment
  • Knowledge of EMEA regulatory and data requirements
  • Demonstrated track record of a high level of personal initiative and leadership, and of setting and achieving challenging goals
  • Must be able to drive into details and abstract the detail for executive communication
  • Must be able to work effectively and build strong relationships with teams throughout the organization
  • Takes accountability for completing deliverables and enjoys owning tasks and jumping in to deliver
  • Independent, organized, self-motivated and a team player
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with a fine attention to detail

  • Advanced skills with the core MS Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint); Advanced skills with standard PM tools (e.g. MS Project); Familiarity with process-mapping tools (e.g. MS Visio, etc.)
