Job Description

As a Commercial Card Relationship Manager, you will identify, plan and implement payables strategies for client growth, product cross-sells and retention. You will cultivate strong relationships with clients within your assigned portfolio and work with internal coverage partners to execute client strategies. The successful applicant will have demonstrable proficiency in account management and full knowledge of the Commercial Card product proposition.

 

The RM establishes plans for maintaining major account relationships and meeting assigned targets within their portfolio. They will quickly establish strong client relationships that drive customer satisfaction while balancing the needs of the Firm.. The RM participates, with coverage partners and Product Sales Specialists, to develop sales strategies for accounts, helps identify target accounts and opportunities within the framework of the organization-wide sales strategy. The RM is responsible for maintaining satisfactory customer satisfaction levels for all accounts in their assigned portfolio, monitors competitor activity and ensures that appropriate response strategies are formulated and executed.

Position Description:

In the role of Commercial Card (CC) Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for leading a portfolio of approximately 20-25 Commercial Bank – Corporate Client Banking (CCB) Tier 1 (accounts with $10MM+ in annual spend) commercial card clients. Your primary objective is the management of the contract lifecycle to ensure volume growth, full product placement, client retention and to lead clients and business partners through change management activity.

 

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in Relationship Management (Commercial Card industry preferred)
  • Demonstrable track record evidencing an exceptional client experience with measurable results and the ability to proactively build relationships and trust with clients
  • Experience in successfully managing multiple client relationships concurrently
  • Excellent communication skills with experience presenting to C-Level executives
  • Ability to work independently with little professional guidance
  • Proven ability to innovate, problem solve, and develop customized solutions to client issues and challenges
