Level 502 – Quality Assurance Analyst

The Legal Department has a number of key operations to meet our obligations to various regulatory oversight and investigative bodies as necessary.  Within the Legal Department, the Office of the Secretary (“OTS”) partners with senior management, control groups, lines of business and corporate units to promote effective governance of the Firm, its branches, subsidiaries and affiliates. OTS also works closely with the Firm’s Board of Directors and is responsible for the coordination of Board meetings and materials.  
The Quality Assurance Analyst will work under the direction of management in the execution of an OTS Quality Control/Assurance framework.  Once implemented, the incumbent will be responsible for the day-to-day duties including, but is not limited to, analyzing Legal Entity data entered within GEMS to ensure data governance and data quality standards are in place.  Recommend efficiencies in business process and work with management and OTS' technology partners to implement solutions.  Additionally the incumbent will validate that procedures and controls are adhered to, participate in the annual Risk Control Self-Assessment process by testing various processes to ensure established controls are adequate to mitigate risk.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Test OTS owned Critical Data Elements within GEMS confirming data was entered with required supporting documentation
  • Document all exceptions with supporting justification in clear and concise terms
  • Follow established QA /QC policies and procedures
  • Meet time sensitive deadlines working quickly and accurately
  • Meet established weekly and monthly department goals
  • Escalate material concerns
  • Continuously identify additional areas of process improvements in the QA/QC implementation
  • Automate test procedures where appropriate
  • Build and foster productive working relationships, including but not limited to OTS Operations colleagues across regions and attorneys



  • 2-5  years of Quality Control/Quality Assurance experience
  • Strong background in legal and or quality control development and implementation.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Strong analytical, interpretive and problem solving skills.
  • Expertise in leveraging existing operational procedures to make critical decisions that is sometimes subjective in nature.
  • Demonstrated experience creating a sense of urgency when responding to escalated issues, rapidly changing priorities and adverse performance.
  • Proficient with technology; strong skills preferred in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Must be a results-oriented team player.
  • Must have experience with creating and distributing management reports.
  • High level of proficiency in organizing, priority-setting, and issues management.
Preferred experience: 
  • Experience with QA/QC of Legal Entity data
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business/legal field.
