Position Overview


The India Infrastructure campus team drives campus recruitment efforts for the infrastructure groups across all lines of business in India that provides future leader talent for the firm. The infrastructure groups of Operations, Technology, Finance and HR recruits top talent from universities to participate in the full time Analyst Program plus a 10 week summer internship or 6 months / 1 year internship program which is considered a primary source for the full time program.


This position will lead recruiters to drive campus recruitment strategy and efforts for Technology hiring across all lines of business for India. This involves recruiting top talent from universities across India; to participate in the full time Technology Analyst Program plus 2 months summer internship or 6 months Academic internship program which is considered a primary source for the full time program.

The Campus Recruiter will have responsibility for the main elements of the campus recruiting infrastructure, as well as input into the strategy and philosophy for the JP Morgan hiring.  This individual will manage the campus recruiting activities and team, and be an integral member of the global campus recruiting team.

Job Description

Recruiting Strategy


§  Create, oversee and influence recruiting strategy designed to attract top talent

§  Design and develop robust sourcing strategy in partnership with the business and outline an effective plan to build and develop campus relationships

§  Continue to develop the diversity strategy to help ensure the intake of junior talent appropriately reflects the target population

§  Outline strategic plans and present regular updates to senior management and diversity committees

§  Educate and communicate to senior business leaders about the overall recruiting strategy/processes. Lead the efforts to maintain and refresh school teams and business interviewers on an ongoing basis

§  Build a solid recruiting platform and market the recruiting efforts internally to get strong participation from the business to be actively engaged in the recruiting process

§  Build and partner with campus relationship teams to formulate effective recruiting strategy for each school

§  Formulate selling strategies for those candidates with offers

§  Regularly evaluate sources of hire (schools visited, corporate programs, diversity organizations, referrals, etc.) and correlate back to cost per hire and performance. Adjust sourcing strategy as necessary

§  Manage and maintain campus recruiting budget to ensure that costs are in-line and appropriate

§  Develop expertise on recruiting techniques, competitive intelligence, generational insight, and interviewing skills

§  Accumulate and analyze recruiting stats and metrics on an on-going basis, analyze their strategic significance and provide trends to key stakeholders

§  Manage key recruiting projects and initiatives as needed


Relationship/ Resource Management


§  Develop strong working relationships with key business champions to help motivate their participation in recruiting efforts

§  Partner with hiring managers to determine and establish annual analyst hiring targets

§  Partner with other recruiting managers to share best practices and implement firm-wide recruiting initiatives

§  Ensure teams are consistent in interview structure and evaluation of candidates

§  Manage recruiting team and help individuals set goals and objectives, provide regular feedback and coaching

§  Ensure proper visibility of recruiting program with management, schools, and other key constituents (e.g. meet regularly with career services directors)

§  Build and maintain strong relationships with campus recruiting managers, University Relations, HR Partners, LOB recruiting and program teams

§  Seek out opportunities to build relationships with non-core schools and key organizations


Marketing/ Branding/Education


§  Manage a team responsible for executing our campus recruiting and internship programs

§  Partner with the Marketing team to execute on-campus branding and marketing

§  Create recruiting road show to define what recruiting is and isn’t

§  Continue to work with campus team to clarify role of teams vs. recruiting function

§  Travel to campus with teams to do initial presentations

§  Pre-identify top talent by attending on/off campus presentations and other events, such as career fairs, hosting receptions, and through interviewing candidates

§  Manage content of marketing materials (web site, on-campus presentation, brochure, job descriptions, campus FAQs, Vault, etc.)


Summer Programs


§  Plan and manage Summer and Academic Internship Programs, , including orientation days (with Training) and continuing education 

§  Lead selection and evaluation process of summers and academic interns to full time offers

Master’s degree with relevant 10+ year’s experience and preferably current role in Campus Recruitment. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team, Knowledge of financial services and recruiting experience § Excellent communication skills: verbally and written. Strong public speaking and presentation skills § Strong organizational and planning abilities; ability to multi-task. Demonstrated capability to lead and manage projects § Ability to translate the business strategy into a comprehensive campus recruitment agenda § Proven relationships with key business partners and other main stakeholders § Ability to work collaboratively and to develop strong relationships across a global organization § Strong executive presence, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills § Strong analytical skills with an ability to assess situations using both qualitative and quantitative factors § Creative and strategic mindset with ability to drive projects and initiatives forward. High degree of self-initiative and ownership § Exceptional judgment and demonstrated ability to make sound decisions in a fast paced environment § Extensive travel required in India
