An opportunity exists to join the Asia Pacific (APAC) team of J.P. Morgan’s CB team in the capacity of International Coverage Executive (ICE) based in Singapore.


The APAC CB Team is responsible for the overall relationship management and day-to-day banking requirements of the APAC subsidiaries of our US CB clients.  Leveraging the firm’s capabilities to meet  our client’s domestic and international financial needs, the team provides dedicated client service, local market expertise and industry knowledge, combined with active coordination, domestically, regionally and internationally of J.P. Morgan’s extensive product and service expertise to deliver comprehensive solutions across multiple product and service disciplines. Traditional CB products and services include, but are not limited to: Treasury Services (Cash management, liquidity), Trade, Bilateral & syndicated commercial lending, Foreign exchange and Investment banking services.


The CB ICE in Singapore will provide client coverage of CB clients’ international subsidiaries in Singapore & SE Asia working closely with US origination teams (International Product Specialists (IPS) and US parent bankers) as well as Product Specialists from across the firm to identify and support the banking needs of CB clients. 


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage and grow a diverse portfolio of CB clients with a focus on local/regional decision makers based in Singapore for our Priority clients.  Establish and develop local contacts with the client’s subsidiaries working closely with US teams to increase wallet share of existing clients and originating new business for APAC. Typical client requirements will focus on Treasury services, Trade, Financing and Foreign exchange. Types of credit facilities range from working capital lines with parent guarantee support to syndicated transactions.
  • Size up market opportunity, identify, solicit & develop new CB relationships by active local prospecting and execution of key deals originated from the US.
  • Analyse complex financial information to structure appropriate client solutions on cash management, liquidity, trade, credit facilities and execution of banking transactions.
  • Provide quality and tailored business solutions to CB clients through the partnership with different Product teams including Treasury Services, Trade, Investment Banking & Credit Risk Management to deliver comprehensive JPMorgan products. 
  • Take the lead role in preparation and submission of RFPs i.e., lead the end-to-end process
  • Responsible for client due diligence to provide the necessary oversight and local accountability in line with JPM Chase policies and local Regulatory requirements covering credit documents, Compliance, Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Audit, etc.
  • End to end ownership of clients from origination, KYC & on-boarding, account opening, implementation to managing Client service related issues working with support teams and product partners
  • Independent producer with responsibility for meeting revenue targets
  • Promote and sustain strong engagement and mutually beneficial relationships with key internal stakeholders including US based IPS teams, Parent Bankers, Underwriters and Credit Committees, in addition to local and regional product and service delivery partners, Legal, Compliance, plus mid and back office support teams across the firm. 

General Knowledge and Experience Required:


  • Minimum 6-8 years relevant banking experience in Singapore, with a strong command of financial services, regulatory environment, transaction banking services (core cash, liquidity, FX), corporate banking products, debt products, trade finance and foreign exchange.
  • Extensive relationship management expertise in the corporate &/or Multi-National Corporations market segments. Relevant international banking experience in the US/Singapore/Asia markets and/or prior experience of managing APAC regional relationships would be a strong advantage.
  • Prior experience of working in Treasury Services / Transaction Banking areas would be a strong advantage
  • Proven expertise in credit analysis, structuring and negotiating domestic and cross border credit risk transactions, both in bilateral and syndicated loan formats.
  • Excellent client relationship management skills together with well-developed business development skills.
  • Proven ability to work professionally and effectively across diverse product and service capabilities.
  • Has experience of working with clients in areas relating to KYC, on-boarding, implementation and solutioning
  • Excellence in oral and written communication (English and Chinese) with proven strength for personal engagement.
  • Prior experience in a prospecting role with demonstrated results and a capacity to operate independently, appropriately balancing short, medium and long term objectives.
  •  Ability to work consistently across different time zones and geographies, dealing with numerous stakeholders.  Should be capable of building partnerships across the organization and working with key stakeholders to ensure projects and business opportunities are successfully realized.
  • Enthusiastic, team player, detail oriented, positive can-do attitude and capable of end-to-end-ownership of clients

Language Requirements:


  • Fluent in spoken and written English

Formal Qualifications:


  • MBA/Degree Qualified in Business, Finance, Accounting &/or Economics
  • CFA or CPA is a strong advantage
