The Quantitative Research team develops and maintains sophisticated mathematical models, methodologies and tools used throughout the firm. We collaborate with other teams to develop new products, manage risk and support investment decisions. We are the innovative, analytical force behind the firm.
Following a recent announcement for JPMorgan Chase joining IBM Q Network, we are looking for a passionate individual to work on application of Quantum Computing to Financial markets. The successful candidate will be required to undertake research in Quantum Computing Algorithms, develop an in-depth understanding of the existing quantum computing hardware and industry trends, understand the mathematical models underlying key businesses in the Investment Bank, and interact with Quants, Technologies and Traders across line of businesses. The role would include conducting joint research with IBM, presenting results internally and at Quantum Computing conferences, and publishing in the high quality journals.
Ability to perform independent research, deep technical skills, and excellent communication skills are a must.
The set of desired skills include
  • PhD in Theoretical Physics, Quantum Computing, Quantitative Finance or other relevant field from a top University
  • Publications in leading peered reviewed journals preferably in the fields of Quantum Computing or Quantum Physics
  • Understanding of broader mathematical topics around Probability, Stochastic calculus, Statistics, Linear Programming, Nonlinear optimizations.
  • Knowledge of numerical methods, in particular for solving Stochastic differential equations
  • Knowledge of C/C++/Python/Java or other modern programming language
