The role will have a focus on wholesale customers (hospitals, insurers) but with an increasing consumer orientation (e.g. consumer payments to business customers); it will sit in the investment bank but will have broad reach across the organization.

 

The person will be responsible for formulating the strategy, and leading the commercial execution of, healthcare payments for the US market across the firm. This would mean setting priorities for the development and sourcing products for the various client bases (providers – hospitals and doctors; insurance) as well as threading the products through the various client channels in coordination with the respective sales organizations.

  • Minimum of 15 years professional work experience in Financial Services, Healthcare or Financial Technology arenas

  • Ideally both strong healthcare (wholesale) and payments expertise but at least deep in one and some level of experience with the other

  • Financial services experience a plus but not necessary

  • Strong skills in operations/execution but also have a flair for strategy

  • Strong leadership qualities, such as teambuilding and working effectively across a large, matrix organization and influencing change and action against a strategy

  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree in Finance, MBA or Healthcare Administration is preferred

  • Highest level of integrity and good judgment

  • Excellent written and oral communication

  • Flexibility for regular travel
