Drawing on JPMorgan Chase’s unique proprietary data, expertise, and market access, the Institute develops analyses and insights on the inner workings of the global economy, frames critical problems, and convenes stakeholders and leading thinkers.

The JPMorgan Chase Institute seeks a Strategy & Operations Analyst in its Washington, DC, office.  The position will be a key member of the JPMC Institute operations team, and will report to the Chief of Staff.  The Analyst will work closely with the Institute operations and research teams, as well as internal partners, to identify and ensure timely delivery of the data and resources necessary to achieve the Institute’s mission.  The ideal candidate will have prior experience managing multiple and complex operational projects at once; be knowledgeable or curious about data operations; and have an entrepreneurial and proactive mindset.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with Institute leadership, research team, and colleagues across the firm to manage and prioritize the Institute’s long-term and day-to-day data pipeline

  • Track data pipeline activities, maintain deadlines, and communicate data delivery updates to keep research team and partners on task by problem-solving and troubleshooting delays, coordinating inter-team communications, and ensuring Institute-wide coordination

  • Lead efforts to enhance Institute data infrastructure, including project management of Institute data environment migration in collaboration with data science and engineer colleagues

  • Partner with internal operations and risk management colleagues to ensure appropriate controls are established and documented to support pipeline delivery

  • Lead strategic or operational projects or efforts to drive exceptional Institute performance. Project work may include risks and controls enhancements, testing, or action planning; managing team knowledge or resources; driving organizational and team development; or strengthening team processes as the organization scales

  • Other responsibilities as directed

Candidate Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; degree or related job experience in Operations or Business Administration preferred; related coursework or experience in Data Operations a plus

  • Strong independent project management and problem solving skills; sound judgment

  • Positive self-starter; excellent time management and prioritization skills

  • Excellent relationship building and collaborative decision making skills

  • Ability to work in a high-performance, fast-paced environment that requires quick turn-around; follows through to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness

  • Familiarity with technology platforms or programming a plus

  • Experience with risk and control management a plus

  • Prior experience working with and presenting to executives a plus

  • Must be team-player and able to work in small, collaborative environment.

  • Passion for Institute mission a must.
