MB Business Analyst I
Perform reporting and data analysis functions in support of the various functional areas of Chase Mortgage Banking.  The role requires someone with the ability to work in a complex data environment as well as the ability to partner with the business to find creative solutions to business problems and provide actionable information to business leaders.  Candidates must possess advanced problem solving skills, the willingness to learn, and the ability to effectively communicate findings verbally and in written/presentation format.  In addition, the analyst must have the ability to research and resolve issues independently but must possess a team player mentality.  The ideal candidate is a critical thinker that will thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment and will mesh well with a team that prides itself on attention to detail and results.
  •  Assure the integrity of data, including data extraction, manipulation, analysis and reporting
  • Work with business functional area counterparts to develop interactive dashboards and management reporting using business intelligence software
  • Proficiency with SQL Server development including (Functions, Procedures, etc.)
  • The ability to design and develop data structures that enable reporting and analytics to be developed efficiently.
  • Experience creating SSRS reports. 
  • Partner with business owners to implement new data sources and ensure consistent definitions are used in reporting and analytics

  • Work closely with business partners to identify process improvements and leverage technology to automate and streamline existing processes
  • Proactively generate ideas for improvement in reporting as well as new ways of looking at information
  • Detailed analysis of information with the goal of developing a robust conclusion and recommendation
  • Develop, test and implement daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports that enable data driven business decisions.   
  • Write and maintain data requests and/or queries to support the business
  • Design and document reporting requirements as defined by the business
  • Lead report specific project activities including prioritizing, developing schedules, determining resources, preparing plans, data and documentation, and resolving issues.
  • Collaborate with management and staff in the development and implementation of all projects and/or initiatives related to operational goals and/or process improvement directives.
  • Coach and mentor less seasoned analysts in developing reporting solutions and in implementing requirements into reports.
As a Business Analyst I, you will require these necessary skills:
  • 5+ years of Business Analyst work experience
  • 3+ experience working with Business Intelligence (SSRS, SSIS etc)
  • Experience working in a Financial Services company preferred
  • Demonstrable experience in analyzing complex processes and systems
  • Experience in writing and interpreting SQL
  • Experience documenting business requirements, functional specifications and test plans.
  • Experience/understanding of business process reengineering and business modeling concepts, business systems development and analysis
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments
  • Strong analytical skills and writing skills, to include solid experience in writing business requirements and functional specifications
  • College degree, or specialized training or equivalent work experience
