The Technology team at our GSCs service all Lines of Business and Enterprise Technology in helping build and operate innovative industry leading solutions. The breadth of capabilities within the Technology team at the GSC enables it to support the firm in leading edge areas such as Digital, Big data analytics, Robotics & Machine Learning.

Olympic is the core accounting software for the International Private Bank (IPB). This application provides the complete client account/portfolio management capabilities and G/L functionality. We are currently are in the process of replacing the existing legacy interface between Olympic (which is a third party software) and the rest of the IPB applications by a new middleware which is much more resilient, efficient and capable of handling more data volumes. The candidate will be working on developing and adding more functionality to this middleware which will be cloud native.

In addition the candidate will also be involved in working on modifications/enhancements to the CDC/Data router application which synchronizes data between Olympic and Apollo (Sybase) database, in real time.

As such we are looking for candidates who are strong in core Java, J2EE principles and who is strong in database related skills and who can work in an Individual capacity.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Work with the business to understand priorities & requirements
  • Capture business requirements and translate into functional/ non-functional user stories for the development team
  • Produce clear and concise documentation of complex process flows, business requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Provide tech solutions using the latest WM architecture stack
  • Develop test cases and work with the business / test teams to ensure execution
  • Oversee deployment of changes into the production environment
  • Work as part of an Agile SCRUM team
  • Daily troubleshooting, problem solving with the team
  • Review high-level risks and issues and determine mitigation/resolution options.
  • Interface regularly with senior managers

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 13 years of financial application development/consulting experience.
  • Strong background on Java, JSP, JavaScript, REST Services, SOAP Services, JMS, Frameworks (Spring, Struts, JSF, Spring Boot) iBatis/Hibernate.
  • Experience with source development tools (GIT, SVN, Maven)
  • Experience on Databases, Store Procedures (Sybase)
  • Working knowledge of Unix Scripting.
  • Should be dependable, results oriented and possess excellent communicational skills

Good to have

  • Experience in working on cloud native applications and technologies.
  • Understanding of Queueing concepts, MQ/Kafka Experience
  • Angular-JS experience
  • Testing Automation using Selenium
