Asset Management - Strategy & Business Transformation -  Associate

As an Associate you will be part of a global team of seasoned professionals tasked with ensuring the successful design and execution of high priority revenue, efficiency, and regulatory efforts within Asset Management. The group reports up to the Global CAO and is aligned to the business, working closely with the front, middle and back offices on efforts which are cross or multi-product / channel / geography and are aligned to the overall Asset Management strategic agenda.  

Associates assume hands-on roles in these high priority initiatives and work closely with the rest of the team and senior business management to help set strategic direction, problem solve and drive execution. Key responsibilities include:

Program Leadership/Management:

  • Managing several efforts simultaneously across a range of functions, business and organizational units
  • Working with business stakeholders to help define and drive strategy and its execution
  • Identifying and bringing together the right resources, content experts and decision makers to meet goals 
  • Developing program charters, business cases, project plans, team structure, and governance models

Analysis & Problem Solving:

  • Supporting and conducting clear analysis, logical structuring, and creative problem solving on critical issues 
  • Creating and applying appropriate conceptual frameworks to push thinking and expand solution sets
  • Assessing risks, costs, and benefits of alternative decisions and approaches
  • Designing processes and tools that yield sustainable improvement and return on investment
  • Proactively identifying and addressing risks and opportunities relating to GIM as a whole or specific projects

Communication Skills:

  • Building relationships with internal clients and external stakeholders
  • Communicating recommendations and program status to impacted stakeholders
  • Clearly articulating program goals to stakeholders and collaborators
  • Escalating critical issues with a focus on resolution


We are looking for candidates who are able to demonstrate a history in effectively managing projects and driving change, ideally in financial services.

Key qualifications include:

  • Relevant experience (e.g. Business change, strategy consulting, banking, program management)
  • Understanding of business and management functions in Asset Management and / or related financial services industries
  • Experience with implementation of project management processes and methodologies in a large organization 
  • Experience working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Comfort with ambiguity and dynamically shifting priorities, timelines, and demands
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven collaboration and influencing skills
  • Ability to network with internal stakeholder community to foster positive and proactive collaboration
