Merchant Services is the global payment processing business for JPMorgan Chase & Co.   Merchant Services is the world’s leading merchant acquirer with over $1 trillion in annual transaction volume in 2016. ChaseNet is a customized closed-loop proprietary payments platform, and Chase Pay is the firm’s new digital wallet that makes mobile transactions simple, safe and rewarding.  Merchant Services is a leading provider of payment, fraud and data security for companies large and small and capable of authorizing transactions in more than 130 currencies.
The Senior Product Business Manager  will provide the opportunity to work directly with senior management across Merchant Services and on projects at the forefront of the payments industry.  It is also a great opportunity to learn about all of the key initiatives happening across the LOB. Projects will include heavy interaction and collaboration with client and functional teams.
  • Act as one of the key representatives of the Run-The-Bank product organization by providing support in the following areas:
    • Partnering effectively across functional areas and product management
    • Link strategy to execution by pushing for clear objectives, timelines and metrics
    • Developing crisp and concise presentations and evolving reporting capabilities to support product management reporting needs
    • Monitor and ensure adherence to organizational budget goals and follow-ups
    • Staying apprised of Product initiatives and determining how to represent them to senior leadership
  • Structuring and building quantitative and qualitative/conceptual analyses to support the Run-the-Bank project pipeline and product performance measurements
    • Manage the project intake process for new products / services and partner with product managers to develop the financial benefit assumptions
    • Develop and support production of product P&L reporting. Drive P&L ownership / accountability for product managers, segment solutions, and the field.
    • Collaborate with finance and field strategy functions to enable product-level reporting and improve transparency of product performance
  • Promote clarity and alignment across leadership and functional teams, including cross-LOB and JPMC-wide groups and Merchant Services leadership
    • Lead high priority performance and efficiency initiatives working across multiple stakeholders
    • Identify and remove barriers to execution, communicating project updates clearly and transparently
  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of product or related experience
  • An outstanding ability to apply quantitative analytical approaches, communicate effectively (both verbally and written), and work well in cross-functional teams
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-orientation, comfort juggling a dynamic and complex piece of work
  • Excellent end-to-end generalist problem solving skills, including developing logical, actionable recommendations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to interact with colleagues at all levels and achieve goals via influence over resources not controlled
  • A track record demonstrating a high level of personal initiative, setting and achieving challenging goals, and demonstrating ability to work in unstructured, dynamic environment
  • High level of proficiency using MS Excel and PowerPoint tools
  • Proficiency in SQL and reporting tools (TOAD, Tableau) is preferred
  • Interest and/or experience in payments and financial services
