Project Execution - Infrastructure Services Programme Manager
J P Morgan Global Technology are in the process of executing a multiyear transformation programme that will deliver client and stakeholder value through risk management, innovation, standardization and optimization of technology.
In support of the programme, the Corporate Investment Bank (CIB) technology group have established a dedicated Infrastructure Services team as part of the Production and Controls organisation. The objective of this team is to focus on optimizing infrastructure usage across the Corporate Investment Bank and to ensure- where appropriate benefits exist- that new infrastructure technologies are adopted in support of application strategies.
A new position has been identified within this team for an experienced programme manager (VP Level) to lead a number of infrastructure related programmes for the Corporate Investment Bank. These programmes will contribute to the agenda of reducing risk and cost associated with infrastructure usage, as well as improving overall efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
As Infrastructure Services is a new function within the technology organisation of the Corporate Investment Bank, this is an exciting time to be joining, with a tremendous opportunity to influence our change agenda. You will be reporting directly to the Infrastructure Services Programme Director and will be focused on:
- Delivery of Strategic Programmes: Support and manage the delivery of CIB’s strategic infrastructure programmes in a high quality, cost effective, timely and sustainable manner with risks and issues identified, prioritised, escalated and managed in a timely and open fashion.
- Development of Change Capability: Assist the programme director in the creation and development of standards, tools, process and culture to ensure best-in-class approach to the delivery of change, from inception to implementation.
- Stakeholder Management – The successful individual will be comfortable managing stakeholders at all levels across the firm; ensuring that technology delivery is firmly bedded into business drivers.
- Governance: Work with the programme director to drive and execute the appropriate level of governance across all elements of the programme.
- Commercial Management: Management of the end-to-end financials and resources across the programmes (where required). Drive continual efficiency and productivity across the programmes to improve year-on-year key performance and cost indicators.
- Deputising for the programme director: Representing the organisation at management meetings and deputising for the programme director when absent.
You will be viewed as a programme management subject matter expert who is able to provide and communicate complex technology situations across differing audiences, including technical, managerial, business executives and/or vendors.
Qualifications required:
We are looking for an outstanding technology leader, with experience of working in a fast paced, high pressured environment, ideally within financial services or a large-scale technology firm. As a minimum you will have:
- Senior level experience of technology and managing complex programmes in global financial institutions. Proven experience of software and/or infrastructure solutions is required.
- Significant experience working in and leading global teams across multiple regions and countries, enabling a ‘one team’ culture and a positive working environment, respecting the cultures and capabilities across locations.
- Exceptional experience and proven track record in stakeholder management, partnership and complex programme governance.
- Proven strategic capabilities and demonstrable critical thinking across business vision and solutions, technology strategy, application and technical architectures, roadmaps and portfolio delivery.
- Proven history of delivering technology solutions to meet aggressive and ambitious business agendas with the appropriate quality, timeliness, stability, cost effectiveness and sustainability.
- Proven leadership in establishing goals, metrics and driving and tracking optimisation opportunities by creating a continuous improvement culture.
- Proven track record of financial, resource and commercial management of large programmes and organisations.
