The role of the HR Business Partner (HRBP) is to drive HR strategy and provide solutions to an assigned client group(s) within the Wealth Management (WM) business. He or she will partner with the business to execute a variety of HR activities including talent and performance management, compensation and promotions, recruiting, learning & development and diversity initiatives.  The HRBP will act as an advocate for employees and internal consultant to managers on people and organizational issues, as well as coordinate delivery from HR specialist teams (Global People Support, Recruitment, Learning & Development).

As a member of the Wealth Management HR team, the HRBP will:

  • Drive all people practices for his/her assigned client group including talent management (succession planning, mobility, high potential & leadership development), performance management, organizational strategy and structure, compensation, diversity, and employee engagement and retention

  • Partner across HR functional areas including Learning & Development, Recruiting, Employee Relations and Compensation to deliver the best solutions for his/her client groups 

  • Ensure employees and managers receive the appropriate counseling, guidance and support on employee relations issues   

  • Leverage key people metrics and data, aligned with business goals, to drive progress and identify themes that require attention  

  • Partner with business leaders to ensure the appropriate programs are in place to drive employee engagement, retention, career development and mobility

  • Coach business leaders on all people and organizational related matters

 

  • 10+ years of relative experience and a proven ability to provide strategic HR consulting

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or related experience

  • Strong consulting, influencing and negotiation skills on all HR disciplines including recruitment, talent, leadership development, performance management, organizational design, compensation, and diversity

  • Business acumen with demonstrated successes operating as a business leader

  • Proven ability to link HR strategy to business goals

  • Must be able to partner with colleagues to influence broader HR strategies and practices for the benefit of the organization

  • Exceptional judgment, demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and be creative in developing alternative solutions in a fast paced environment

  • Creative thinker/problem solver, able to manage multiple initiatives

  • Proven capability to manage across a large, global organization with multiple constituents

  • Success with working collaboratively and developing strong, positive working relationships across a matrixed organization 

  • Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult issues

  • Excellent communication skills
