Our Edinburgh office is currently looking for an analyst developer for its Operations Department. Operations group is responsible for order execution, trade booking, data management, client fee billing, processing and settlement of transactions initiated for Private Clients worldwide.
Due to growth in our Edinburgh operation JP Morgan Chase & Co have an opportunity for an analyst level developer with VBA, Access and Excel skills to develop technical solutions to support our Banking Operations teams. The role will require considerable liaison with managers and teams across the business as well as the ability to develop solutions using Access, Excel, VBA and SQL technology. Experience of creating and supporting these types of developments within a banking environment would be useful, but is not essential.
Being part of the Projects & Business Innovation Support team, the successful candidate will be working in conjunction with the Operations teams and managers to implement ad-hoc solutions to optimise business flows and procedures. This is a unique opportunity to gain an in depth knowledge of all operational flows and contribute to a growing international business in a fast paced and innovative environment. The candidate will, among others, perform the following tasks:
• Support existing and develop new Access / Excel developments to support various teams
• Act as central point of contact for internal development queries and issues
• Be the point of contact for MIS and statistics
• Assist the Projects team and Managers to analyse existing or new process flows
• Knowledge of Relational Database Modelling
• Intermediate SQL knowledge
• Intermediate MS Access knowledge, ability to construct and maintain complex databases
• Intermediate VBA knowledge, ease in handling all Access objects in code
• Good communication skills
• Strong ability to interact with business users
• Experience with Olympic Banking System a plus
• Previous experience in Banking Operations a plus
• Good command of the English language
