CIB F&BM - Legal Entity Controller - Associate

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who wants to expand his/her knowledge at a very dynamic international financial institution.

Job descriptions:

The job involves supervising day-to-day operations as well as monthly closing processes. A motivated and capable person will have many opportunities to expand his/her tasks and responsibilities. There is also a potential opportunity to work at office in other countries in a few years.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of FED reports/local regulatory reports
• Approval of accounting entries
• Monthly attestation of entity/branch
• Substantiation of certain accounts
• Coordination with product controllers and financial controllers
• Keep track of assigned business results for booking accuracy and currency hedge by closely working with product controllers
• New product approval for assigned products
• Cross tasks
• Seek better control procedures which can be justified by cost/benefit analysis.

Required skills

• Strong GAAP knowledge preferred. (J GAAP & US GAAP)
• Solid understanding of financial products (shorting, margin trade, security borrowing/lending, options, swap, forwards, futures, etc).
• Securities company knowledge preferred (not a must)
• Regulatory reporting knowledge preferred (not a must)
• Prior management experience is a plus.
• Basic level English is a must.
• Minimum of 4 years of accounting and/or finance experience
• 4 year college degree is a must.
• Must have strong academic background
• CFA, FRM or J-CPA preferred
