Job Description:
We are recruiting a Junior Talent Pipeline Programme Manager who will be responsible for the Modern Apprentice Programme and Professional Hire Initiative across our Glasgow Technology centre.
 
This role is suited to someone who is an advocate for young people who are at the beginning of their career. You will be supportive and engaging and have the ability to mentor and guide our junior talent throughout their apprenticeships. You will liaise with schools, colleges and universities as well as internal stakeholders, so strong communication skills are vital.
                                                                                  
Role Responsibilities:
  • End to end delivery of both the Modern Apprentice and Professional Hire Programmes
  • Source opportunities to recruit best talent
  • Report back to senior management with update on programme on a regular basis
  • Liaise with other JPMorgan locations in the UK to co-ordinate apprentice programmes
  • Engage with schools and colleges to promote technology careers and our career opportunities
  • Build strong working relationships with academic establishments
  • Know the apprentice products offered by colleges/universities within Glasgow’s Modern Apprentice frameworks etc.
  • Understand the Modern Apprentice regulatory guidelines (SDS, S.A.A.B) and funding structure
  • Liaise with line managers to track progress of junior talent
  • Pastoral support for apprentices, check in’s, guidance and advice
  • Have a basic understanding of the technologies used within JPMorgan Glasgow site:
    • Object oriented languages, java, scala, python
    • Web technologies, HTML, CSS, Angular, REACT
    • Databases, SQL transactional both Oracle and Sybase. Big Data tech (Cassandra/Hadoop/Mongodb)
    • Mobile – android and apple
  • Gain an understanding of the multiple lines of business supported in JPMorgan’s Glasgow Technology hub

 

Requirements:
  • Technology background (recent hands on coding experience is not essential)
  • Have the ability to support, mentor and guide junior talent at the start of their career
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels as well as academic establishments
  • Passion for technology and shaping the future of junior talent
  • Demonstrating the correct attitude and behaviours is vital for this role
