CCB Risk
Chase Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) serves consumers and small businesses with a broad range of financial services, including personal banking, small business banking and lending, mortgages, credit cards, payments, auto finance and investment advice. Consumer & Community Banking Risk Management partners with each CCB sub-line of business to identify, assess, prioritize and remediate risk. Types of risk that occur in consumer businesses include fraud, reputation, operational, credit, market and regulatory, among others
The Executive Director will be responsible for the building the next generation of Business Card acquisition strategies, working closely with Decision Science, Marketing and Finance to define go to Market strategy and optimize profitability within the Firms’ Risk Appetite framework.  Ideal candidate for this role will have prior business lending experience, Card Acquisition experience, be an analytical problem solver with strong understanding of Card profitability dynamics.  The Director will work with CRO of Business card in assessing scored underwriting capabilities and gaps across Chase business lending portfolios, laying out the plan for point of arrival best-in-class decisioning infrastructure and strategies for the businesses.
As Executive Director of Business Card Acquisition Policy this role is focused on leading and influencing strategy initiatives associated with the Business Card Portfolio: targeting, systemic underwriting, judgmental routing, initial line assignment and risk based pricing across multiple acquisition channels and product lines.  The role requires cross coordination with all channel owners to ensure we meet our performance thresholds and business objectives.  It also requires a strong understanding of commercial data sources in conjunction with traditional & xLOB relationship data sources to optimize strategies.  Individuals in this role should have a strong credit risk management background with emphasis on statistical and financial modeling and application.  In addition, candidates for this role will need effective leadership, communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work across multiple disciplines such as Marketing, Finance, Legal/Compliance and Technology and manage execution/operating risk appropriately in the context of deploying credit strategies
  • Key understanding of P&L and financial metrics and an understanding of the relationship between business initiatives and their financial impact
  • Ongoing identification and deployment of mitigation and growth initiatives at Origination.
  • Support monthly MIS to identify key risks and opportunities within the business.
  • Coordinate risk strategy deployment and execution with credit bureau vendors, other 3rd party vendors, Risk Execution, Technology and Lending Operations.
  • 10+ years of credit policy, risk or finance experience (credit card experience preferred)
  • BA/BS in quantitative discipline is required
  • Strong people management and project management skills are required
  • Originations/Acquisition experience preferred
  • Unsecured lending experience preferred
  • Credit life cycle knowledge is critical
