Position Summary
The Private Bank Global Wealth Management (GWM) Operations Tax Agile Business Analyst/ Project Manager will be responsible projects from initiation through implementation. In some projects, they may be asked to serve as Product Owner, prioritizing development and leading user testing. The scope includes both business driven improvement projects and firm-initiated projects for Regulatory purposes. The Project Manager will be expected to develop relationships and partner with Operations both within the Private Bank and the x-LOB Indirect Tax team, Corporate Tax, Client Service, the front office and Technology teams and other LOB’s as necessary.  They will be expected to actively participate in, and in some cases lead, the requirement, build and testing phases of the project as well as the support of the production implementation.  Projects may be related to Technology/ infrastructure changes, Operating Model changes, Communications (Internal and/or External outreach), or a combination of all 3.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop/ assist with establishing project scope, plan and roll-out plans
  • Document business requirements via User Stories
  • Ensure project is completed in accordance with Risk, Compliance, Tax Regulation and other relevant firm-wide guidelines
  • Diagnose and facilitate resolution of key issues and risks within the project
  • Ensure operational and business change readiness
  • Develop training plans and conduct user training
  • Conduct overall project evaluations/quality control
  • Communicate project status with key business partners
  • Review user reported defects, assessing validity and, where valid, working with Technology to address
  • Understand key tax data, the overall Connect framework and how tax information fits in to the overall framework both from an infrastructure and user access perspective
  • 2 – 10 years of experience managing projects, ideally globally, and/ or acting as a business analyst
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt within a rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated history of delivering projects on-time and within budget
  • Strong facilitation, interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio required; SharePoint and Access a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player with excellent organizational, multitasking and prioritizing skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to both work independently as well as part of a team
  • Significant experience producing project-related documentation including status reports, detailed schedules, polished presentations, risk lists, action items and meeting minutes.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and using Jira a plus
  • Knowledge of, or interest in, Private Banking, the nuances of Tax Regulations and their impact on internal processes and client interactions important
  • Working knowledge of Tax, Omni and/or Workstation a strong plus
  • Licensed Series 99 or ability to obtain within 120 days
