     In January of 2018, we announced that we plan to expand our branch network into 15-20 new U.S. markets and open up to 400 new branches during the next 5 years.  These new branches will directly employ about 3,000 people in places such as Washington D.C., Boston, Philadelphia and many others.  The Consumer Bank and Wealth Management Strategy Manager will support a cross functional team and act as an internal consultant on our entry into the new markets.   You will gain insight into the new markets, research market expansion best practices, learn from competitors in the proposed markets, and keep us focused on the things that matter most.  You will develop growth strategies, assess and plan market entry, and tackle complex problems that come with implementing a new business model.  This role requires flexibility, strong communications skills, team building, and an in-depth knowledge of growth strategies and execution.

    ·         Extensive research into new markets, cities, and regions

    ·         Identifying what customer obsession at every level of branch/customer engagement looks like in new markets

    ·         Developing strategies and insights to address top opportunities in our expansion efforts

    ·         Strategizing how best to implement our “One Chase” commitment to customers by driving loyalty and deepening relationships across lines of business in untapped markets around the country

    • Persuasively advising and influencing senior leaders on key business decisions and change initiates
    • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders throughout the Consumer Bank and across lines of business
    • Leading teams in strategy execution to identify issues and actionable opportunities, design solutions, and quantify potential impact to the business
    • Developing and delivering concise communications to senior management
    • Maintain awareness of significant changes impacting expansion markets- including regulatory changes



  • 5+ years of strategy, research, or consulting experience with retail market expansion efforts
  • Broad base of general management and leadership skills; including demonstrated success leading teams to solve complex problems
  • Excellent end-to-end process implementation
  • Entrepreneurial and innovative thinker able to drive future-state expansion strategy and execute results
  • Ability to cultivate relationships, build trust, and collaborate with other areas across JPMorgan Chase
  • Strong communication/presentation skills, that can be consumed at all seniority levels with both internal and external audiences
  • Success driving large, complex, and highly visible projects that have significant financial and reputational risk
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required, Master’s Degree or MBA is preferred
  • Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Flexibility for occasional domestic travel
