We have opportunities for Credit Operations Senior Specialist in our Business Banking group.
General Job Responsibility
Evaluates credit applications for recommendation. The purpose of this position is to facilitate Small Business loan portfolio growth and protect the bank from loss, maintaining acceptable asset quality. Intermediate level officer with moderate experience. Underwrites credit transactions up to $500,000.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide recommendation to Credit Approval Officer based on a thorough knowledge of credit policy, inclusive of financial statement analysis. Emphasis is placed on accuracy, processing time, regulatory and compliance standards as well as the ability to identify, recommend, and justify policy exceptions that are mitigated by sound credit analysis and appropriate approval levels.
  • Spread financial statements, prepare personal and business cash flow analysis and prepare credit package for further review by Credit Approval Officer.
  • Independently analyze and evaluate the risk of adding a transaction to the bank's portfolio, with supervision from manager when needed.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Works effectively in a team environment while assuming individual responsibility
  • Ability to formulate and articulate objective views based on professional analysis
  • Able to act independently in a high volume environment
  • Ability to work in a fast paced high production environment performing multiple tasks
  • High level of proficiency in organizing priority setting and issues management
  • Demonstrated PC aptitude and understanding of the Credit Process
  • Underwriting Experience an Advantage
  • Bachelor degree in accounting preferred
  • Manila CPA Certification and prior business credit experience preferred
  • Bachelor degrees in business finance or economics are acceptable with at least five years prior credit underwriting experience
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills interpersonal skills strong analytical and judgment skills and strong typing skills needed - redundant (same with first statement)
  • Self motivation and ability to work independently in a fast- paced environment as well as knowledge of bank systems and loan/credit operations needed
  • Results-oriented team player with a high level of proficiency in organizing priority-setting and issues management a must
