Finance and Risk Operations is a global team within the firm wide Finance and Risk CFO organization, monitoring the timeliness, accuracy and completeness of data used for Credit and Liquidity risk management and reporting.  The team designs, implements and operates controls to manage the data flow, and identifies data quality issues for remediation.  Finance and Risk Operations works closely with various internal partners within all lines of business, as well as other group functions including Risk Reporting, Risk Policy, Regulatory Risk, Risk Middle Office, Business Middle Offices, Control & Oversight and the firm wide Data Quality Team.
  
Job Description
The Operations Control Lead will be the point of contact and represent Fin Risk Operations in all control related exercises. Including but not limited to self-testing; RCSA, User Tool Management, Audits, enforcement of control related activities and continual review of control effectiveness within the space. The Control lead will be part of a control forum with other control leads within Finance and Risk CFO Operations in order to create efficiencies and best practices across the organization and coordinate and support the firm-wide Control agenda.
 
This newly created role will be based in Newport, NJ office, reporting directly to the VP Finance Operations.
 
Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and evolve Operations control framework relating to the Finance and Risk Roadmap
  • Work with Finance & Risk CFO Program Management control teams to ensure controls developed are consistent with Firmwide requirements on CCAP, SOX, BCBS, and ICU requirements and efficient.
  • Conduct control reviews, design assessments and RCSA’s exercise for the FRW Operations/BAU function.
  • Conduct periodic internal audits to ensure Control standards are applied per the Standard Operating Procedures and initiate/ track corrective actions/ improvements as needed.
  • Prepare and present various reporting as needed.
  • Support ad hoc reporting related to Fin Risk Operations  and Control agenda’s
Skillset/Experience Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree required (Finance, or Business degree preferable) or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years experience in financial services operations or business management capacity with focus on Controls.
  • Investment banking product knowledge ideal, along with experience in associated operating procedures, accounting and control policies.
  • Experience with Audits; RCSA’s; processing controls; SOX; CCAR; Testing & business resiliency.
  • Superior written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong desktop skills, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivated, Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively influence peers and business partners to achieve objectives
  • Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and commitment to deliver under tight deadlines.
