Our Team
The Investor Support Group is a main point of contact for investment teams for operational activities across all products for the International Private Bank. This team, part of the Middle Office group, covers all transactions initiated for or by Private Clients in the Private Banking legal entities in Asia, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and Latin America from a hub based in Singapore, Hong Kong, Geneva & Mumbai.
 
The Role
The principal objective of the team is to provide dedicated and centralized support to the investment teams. Investors will refer to this team to understand product flows and resolve any issues related to trades on mutual funds, hedge funds, private equity, core products (FX, loans, deposits, equities, fixed income), listed options, securitised derivatives and OTC derivatives. The team is also responsible for the review and testing of any technical changes to applications used by investors.
 
Some of the tasks performed, among others, include: managing investor queries, project management, system testing and implementation, training, investor communication, tech issue escalation and managing investor entitlements. The team maintains an open dialogue, albeit to varying degrees, with investors, middle office teams, technology, internal clients, and other support functions throughout the world.
 
In addition to the variety of tasks performed to support each product strong emphasis is also placed on the ability to prioritize tasks and communicate efficiently with key partners. Having excellent written and oral communication skills in English is essential.
Qualifications
The candidate should have relevant trade support experience in one or several of the above mentioned products, ideally 7+ years in a reputable bank, fund administrator or financial institution and now looking to take on a new challenge in a growing, fast paced and ever changing environment. Candidates should in addition have the following attributes:
  • Strong leadership and management skills, able to lead a team of 5 based in Hong Kong and Singapore
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and written skills, excellent proficiency with written English is a must
  • Ability to plan resources effectively, set objectives and provide individual feedback on performance on an ongoing basis
  • Ability to build strong rapport with bankers, product partners, other internal and external parties
  • Strong capacity for operating in a flexible, dynamic environment where creative and strategic thinking is required
  • Ability to leverage other lines of business in the Bank (e.g. Technology) to resolve system issues, improve productivity, efficiency and controls
  • Participate as a subject matter expert in projects involving new system implementation which affect Investors and for some of the initiatives, acting as project lead
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Understand and comply with the policies and procedures related to private banking operations
  • High level of integrity and a good sense of judgement
Technical Skills
  • Deep knowledge of Private Bank Operations in terms of financial products and client entity structures
  • Strong comprehension of how transactions are done through the firm's processing and reporting systems, and an in-depth understanding of all operation roles and inter-dependencies
  • Advanced level in Excel & PowerPoint would be advantageous
