We are looking for talented developers (referred to as team members) with a variety of strengths, not just isolated skill sets, to join the Customer Onboarding and Implementation Scrum team based in Mumbai.   You’ll collaborate with cross-functioning, highly skilled software engineering teams in a fast moving environment located globally.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, design, develop, review, test and deliver quality software products in a complex environment. 
  • Supports the application's BAU and DEV/OPS processes and activities.
  • Identify areas for improvement and drive change through to completion.
  • Actively participate in a self-organized Scrum team where team members work together to determine who does what. 
  • Through negotiation, team members resolve their challenges to deliver on their commitments.
  • Performance Coach to other Scrum team members.
  • Build less software - Learn and understand when to use services available from other teams.
  • Ensure adherence  to IT Control Policies throughout design, development and testing and incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications.
  • Partner with the cross impacting teams/lob’s and progress the implementation of the solution.

  Qualifications -

  • “T-Shaped”/Broad skilled software development professional with deep skills in certain areas such as coding, but also skilled in other areas such as project management, testing and/or analysis.
  • Leadership - everyone is a leader.
  • Experience with Agile programming techniques such as test driven development, spec by example, Scrum and Kanban.
  • Self-starter, able to work in fast paced agile development environment.
  • Communication skills to collaborate effectively across development teams.
  • Solid hands-on work experience of 10-15 years in software development and team lead
  • Team management: Experience in leading a 10 member team including vendors.
  • Experience in driving projects using Agile methodology
  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects concurrently
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and decision making.
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or similar discipline.
  • Understanding of Financial and Banking applications or related business experience.
  • Technical Skills Proficiency needed
    • Pega 7.1.7
    • Core Java 1.8
    • Java Frameworks Spring (including Web MVC), Hibernate, JUnit
    • UI technologies: JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, JSON, HTML, JSP
    • Java WebServices, Soap, CXF, AXIS
    • XML technologies: XML, XSD, DTD, XPATH, XFORM
    • Java design patterns, Java Annotations
    • Maven, Subversion, Jenkins, Hudson, Sonar
    • Tomcat / WebSphere - Should have experience of development using these two application servers
    • Oracle knowledge - PL/SQL, Stored Proc, Triggers, Writing and tuning SQL
    • MQ and/or JMS hands on experience
    • Job Schedulers: Control-M, Quartz
