Job Description:

Its clients include institutions, high-net-worth individuals and retail investors in every major market throughout the world. The division offers investment management across all major asset classes including equities, fixed income, alternatives, multi-asset and money market funds. For individual investors, the business also provides retirement products and services, brokerage and banking services including trusts and estates, loans, mortgages and deposits.
 
The Investment Strategist is responsible for communicating a comprehensive vision of the firm’s market views and investment strategies, spanning across specific asset classes and comprehensive, multi-asset managed solutions.
 
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for developing wealth management regional investment views across and within asset classes, as well as contributing to the development of discretionary and advisory strategies for UHNW clients in Asia Pacific
  • Monitor top-down and market developments across Asia time-zone assets and generate investment implications
  • Present at meetings and conduct conference calls for advisors and their clients on the economic and market outlook
 
  • Advanced degree in Finance or Economics and/or CFA
  • Fluent in English, preferably in another language (Mandarin highly desirable)
  • Superb communications skills in both writing and presenting.  Ability to communicate ideas with passion and clarity
  • Ability to generate insightful and relevant investment ideas backed by rigorous research
  • Familiarity with financial markets, market terminology, capital markets history and economic indicators, along with equity, fixed income, international, emerging markets, currency and alternative asset classes
  • Familiarity with software such as Bloomberg, FactSet, Reuters, etc. is preferable
  • Experience in Wealth Management industry preferable
