Job Description:

The Lead Bank Controller team is responsible for the Lead Bank (JP Morgan Chase Bank, NA - JPMCB) governance, financials and legal entity control functions and is accountable for JPMCB capital and financial analysis partnering with RCMO and Corporate Financial Analysis teams. It manages the firmwide Legal Entity (LE) strategy and simplification agenda and reporting. The team is also responsible for managing the LE Reorganizations and Capital Actions (RCA policy), Affiliate Support Documents (ASD policy) and Reg W governance and oversight which is also a firmwide role.

 

The Legal Entity Strategy and Simplification team was formed under the Lead Bank Controller team in early 2015 with the following key objectives:

  • Define firmwide legal entity strategy including efforts to simplify our structures and other sources of complexity
  • Manage execution of specific goals and actions through a cross LOB governance framework that leverages consistent reporting and success criteria

Responsibilities


In this associate role, the candidate will support the strategic legal entity analysis against the firm's legal entity framework, as well as the execution of the legal entity strategy and the replated reporting.  Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with the lines of business (LOBs) and functional partners (finance, legal, tax, treasury, etc.) to complete the assessment of legal entity structures against JP Morgan Chase’s framework
  • Tracking progress on the execution, with LOB and functional partners, of the firm’s legal entity end state strategy
  • Working with LOBs and functional partners to enhance the legal entity structure management and reporting operating model
  • Preparing and analyzing metrics and reporting to measure and track success
  • Supporting the preparation of materials for the Legal Entity Strategy and Simplification Group

  • Demonstrated history of analysis of information with superior attention to detail

  • Outstanding ability to communicate (written, verbal, presentation skills) effectively with peers

  •  Experience working on multiple, complex projects with a sense of urgency

  • Strong project management skills

  • Team player – proven flexibility, adaptability and reliability

  •  Broad knowledge of financial services businesses and products

  • Excellent and efficient skills using MS Excel and PowerPoint tools
