Counterparty Credit Infrastructure & Capital (CCIC) is a global private side group with a presence in London,
Hong Kong and New York, and is a specialized team within Credit Risk Management. CCIC develops, coordinates and oversees infrastructure, stress testing and exposure methodology globally for derivatives, securities financing and other traded products, and provides expertise and oversight for their Basel credit risk capital. In addition, CCIC includes Credit Portfolio Solutions (CPS), with the teams covering new derivatives, securities financing and other traded products for clients of the CIB.
Counterparty Credit Infrastructure & Capital is seeking a New York based Associate/Vice President to support all aspects of Counterparty Credit Risk Infrastructure and Stress Testing, with a focus on securities financing activity.  The role will also involve execution and oversight over relevant aspects of the firm’s CCAR/DFAST/ICAAP regulatory submissions for Counterparty Credit Risk.  
As a member of the Infrastructure & Stress Testing team within CCIC, the candidate will be responsible for the below:
Counterparty Credit Risk & Stress Testing
  • Driving initiatives to improve exposure methodology for the global counterparty credit portfolio of derivatives, securities financing and other traded products
  • Act as the subject matter expert on Securities Financing products, the associated E2E infrastructure,  and exposure methodology
  • Partner with Credit Risk Management to improve transparency, understanding and management of key counterparty risks
  • Participate in the planning, prioritization, development, and testing of projects related to exposure methodology, stress testing, and credit infrastructure
  • Partner with other bank groups to ensure completeness and accuracy of transaction and market data feeds, as well as stable and resilient systems for counterparty credit exposure, stress and contingent risk calculations
  • Work closely with CCIC Basel Implementation team, regional CPS teams, Credit Risk Management, Credit Risk Technology, Gauss Technology, QR, MGG, MRG and Risk Reporting
  • Assist in the preparation and completion of FR Y-14 templates for Counterparty Risk with ownership over the exposure metrics and variance explains for exposure moves
  • Build expertise in regulatory instructions; assist in instruction interpretation and assessment of impact
  • Assess completeness and accuracy of the data inputs impacting exposures; drive resolution of data quality issues, errors, and inconsistencies in data reporting and usage
  • 6 – 8 years of experience in Risk Management or in Stress Testing is required
  • Good knowledge of traded products and thorough understanding of quantitative concepts relating to credit exposure, risk sensitivity and stress testing
  • Ability to oversee and drive oversight and delivery of multi-faceted projects
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with large data sets; must be highly numerate, very good with Excel and able to challenge concepts/proposals
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership of responsibilities, must be diligent, self-motivated and good at following up on issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders and senior managers
  • Team player who can work well with colleagues of various levels, and in partnership with several other groups on a shared agenda
  • Relevant knowledge of Securities Financing products and experience in CCAR/DFAST/ICAAP a plus
